Repro-5 public beta (Repro V1.1)

I've been testing playing Repro-5 along with editing video clips in Reaper and I was really afraid that would kill my computer, but it works nicely. I'm sure I'll still end up freezing Repro-5 tracks at some point but anyhow, I couldn't get it to glitch, as long as the MC switch is on.

I have the same 3 synthsIngonator wrote:While i do not have all U-He synths yet i currently got Repro-5, Repro-1, Diva and ACE and all those are amazing indeed while i guess both Repro-5 and Diva are my favorites from those.D-Fusion wrote: I am amazed at how good the Repro 1 and 5 sounds + Diva offcourse
And they Really live up to the hype
When i play them next to my highend Analogs i sometimes forget that i play a vst since they sound so good and real like my hw does
They are all great but my fav are also Pro 1-5 and Diva.
I haven't used Ace as much as i should don't know why but i guess it is mostly because i have been mostly on HW these last 2 years trying to find my dream setup of hw and sw and going thru many different hw synths in that time period
Now i am finally got the pieces together so i can finally focus on music again with great sw and hw

Oh, hehehe, it isn't really bad per sé - it's actually an almost funny thought I'm having. It's easily possible that these are just coincidences, but I'd completely crack up if they aren't.D-Fusion wrote:Ok. haven't read everything here yet so i didn't know it was that bad.Urs wrote:It's a bit more than that. In any case, nothing to worry about.

I think it's quite annoying if there is no room for reports about bugs in thread about a beta.
However, adressed a mail to the support.

Regarding testing, to help get this back on topic, is there specific tests and scenarios that would be helpful for us to do?

It's a big task, but starting up your own message board would be my suggestion. Then you would have some control, maintain sanity, and could just mirror announcements, software links on KVR, etc.

I have just sent over my final small set of patches to team U-He, 12 in total. Not many but I'm too buried in a zillion different projects including a 35 meter (~115 feet) tree that collapse down my garden the other week. Remember the giant willow-like Tree of Souls from Avatar? Okay, twice that amount at least, I swear.
Updated SoundCloud demo of 8 of them:

As for the trolls, just get rid of them Urs and don't indeed let them get under you skin, Repro-5 is amazing.

I’d like that too. I can live without it, but it is a bit of a speed bump for the way I use software.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Would like a preference to initialize with (and keep) MC on. Saw there's an HQ preference but none for MC, which is the one I'd want...
I'd petition the court that if MC is on by default and if weird stuff starts happening, users can consciously turn it off. The first thing I do when I load up RePro-5 is turn it on anyway. Same with Diva. Not having a preference does me no favors as sometimes I forget and wonder why my CPU is going nuts, get annoyed at myself, and turn it on. If there's the potential to run into trouble because of it, I haven't seen it yet (or noticed) and I can always shut it off after the fact. This is why a preference would make sense to me. If issues with Multi-Core are limited to specific setups, that further supports making a preference for it IMO as I've never had issues.
I'd guess that 99 times out of 100 I'd want it on for the poly patches (maybe not necessary for single voice patches - but even there probably not so much harm).

That was posted before Urs appended the FAQ section to the first thread...
I guess it makes sense, but on the other hand, I just created a default preset in my DAW with MC on. Same difference and easy enough to turn off if anything weird starts happening with multiple instances.Urs wrote:Why no Multicore by default option? - Because performance degrades massively with multiple instances in multi threaded mode. We want to keep it a conscience decision until 8+ core CPUs are the norm.

Yep, creating a default preset in DAW is easy peasy and sorts the issue out without u-he needing to lay a single line of code

Turns out, just coincidence, as far as I can see. A cracker and a troll just using ISPs/VPNs that point to the same geo location. Nothing worth reading too much intoxx JPRacer xx wrote:Urs wrote:It's a bit more than that. There's material for a whole conspiracy theory unfolding here... hope to have the details soon.![]()
