Steve, is it safe to use use the beta for existing projects or are there some changes under the hood which needs a bit adjusting of existing sounds?

Things should sound identical to v1.00 sonically, there are a couple bug fixes which could change the sound of a project, but they're pretty unlikely/rare cases (specifically, a fix to LFO Rate as a mod destination in polyphonic situations, and fast smoothing to aftertouch messages to de-zipper them).4damind wrote:Steve, is it safe to use use the beta for existing projects or are there some changes under the hood which needs a bit adjusting of existing sounds?

Ok installed the beta.. works nice so far!
I'm playing a bit with ambient... this is only Serum 5x (+ Drums are from Geist). Very nice for such stuff...
The pad with a Basic MG (I think this means basic Moog wavetable?)

Thank you and glad to see you like them.Sparky77 wrote:PatchAdamz wrote:Here is another preset from the Bonus Pak, available FREE to all who bought in during the early purchase special (still available).
The Bazantar, an acoustic bass with additional sympathetic and drone strings.
It is an amazing instrument blending the east with the west.
The quality of the cello with the resonance of the Sitar.
Truly an exotic instrument.
Now we have one for Serum - Available ONLY in the Bonus Pak.

Gotta say, these are my favorite presets so far in this thread.
I am partial to these type of exotic instruments and the Bazantar is a favorite.
You really captured the overtones and character nicely.
That alone is worth the $17 asking price.
The Tuvan preset is equally as awesome, really put a smile on my face.
Glad I got in for the bonus round.![]()

Some fretless Bass impro meets warm pad (I played the bass first in one pass then added the pad in a second) - 100% Serum, 2 instances (who would have guessed):

Small project walk
5 instances Serum. Sometimes I used only Eventide Ultraverb as an external effect (I don't like the internal reverb)

Another preset from the Bonus Pak for Serum (For buyers of "Concentrated" for Serum)
A very resonant and responsive stringed instrument for Serum.
Includes Mod Wheel, Velocity, and Micro controllers.
Two uniquely different versions.

The majority of that load time is the preprocessing on wavetables, for instance if you switch between two presets with one table each it loads exponentially faster. I do expect to be able to cut this preprocessing time at least in half, maybe more - but I can't promise that until I make it happen here.I don't know if this has been asked but is there any plan to make the patch load time quicker? Takes quite a while to switch between presets.

Steve pointed out on the reddit thread for this video that it is a 'slightly modified factory preset named LD - Hypersaw [JD]'.
