if you really think people aren't going to consider something called "synth name-teaser-1" a demo for a synth, well then you should do some soul searching young man.

Ah ah, OK, let me explain this better: This is not a demo for the instrument; had that been my intention, I would have used the factory bank, as a large number of people have worked on it and I would have shown off the huge variety of sounds Icarus can generate. It is a demo of my own album and my own soundbank, which means it only shows the sounds I like to get out of this instrument, which are not necessarily what others will and most definitely not the only ones Icarus can generate.
It's called Icarus teaser simply because the album didn't yet have a name when I uploaded the file, and the soundbank still hasn't, so it's simply "Icarus teaser" for now

Nice. I was just poking some fun. I totally get that. I also get that Tone2 stuff always has very "Tone2" sounding presets. I imagine they curate all the patches that are submitted for factory banks and it sure sounds like it. While I like their style, I find that it hovers a bit too close to trance for most of my music. I know, I know that's what my own patches are for.

I still think my idea for a Ensoniq inspired wavetable synth would be a good one. I wonder why Ensoniq seems so ignored by developers...

This is kind of OT, but .. Would you recommend Tone2 Nemesis for FM Synth, since you seem to like it a lot. ?

I kind of get the impression that Nemesis is not very popular, since I don't see much discussed about it here at KVR, or other forums, but I was always tempted to get it, and think it is a very sophisticated FM synth.

Any feedback, on this ?

I could start a new topic about Tone2 Nemesis, or pick up an existing one to bring some more discussion to it.

Zebra for me is the most overhyped and underwhelming *sounding* virtual synth ever made. Literally.

Well, I wouldn't make statements like "literally" and "most xxx ever made" but in my book Zebra is far from being the best sounding synth. I used it in some of my tracks, sometimes even for the things like the main lead but it typically requires much more external processing than Spire or Sylenth or other synths I use.

U-HE synths hit and miss for me, I love the sound of Diva and Bazille but not very thrilled by Zebra and Hive. Maybe I'll sell Zebra (e.g. to fund Icarus )

Why bring up that point anyway? Even if i sold Ferraris, and earn millions a year, i'm free to think that something is overpriced, right?

Not sure if it's valid here though. Seems quite reasonably priced considering Serum or Massive are more expensive, and Nave is at the same price.
