ok, same problem like mines before :)
my fault was, that i had wrong registry entries for the "content" folder ([HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\4Front\TruePianos]) - i changed the drive letter (matthews wizard was right).
the entries have to point to drive "p" (because your usb-stick (plugged into the v-machine) is "p" and the path had to be the path like on your usb-stick without the "plugs" folder (as i remember right). when i was at your point (plugin load in v-machine but no sound) all i had to do was change the wizard-file (or more easy) change the "vfxinfo.txt" at your usb-stick. you dont need to reimport the plug to your vfx-software.
BUT: in the vfx software you hear the piano sound when you play the virtual keyboard ???
hope that helps - but i am only a user - no warranty )

HOORAY!!!
Truepianos Trial finally works on my V-Machine.
I didn't need to change the drive letter "p"(it was already "p" in the wizard)
I did start at the beginning again from Matthew's instructions with starting truepianos in standalone...
The only thing different that i can think of this time was that my external sound card was switched on while going through the whole process.
Anyway it works well and doesn't choke unless you really work it hard with loads of notes and sustain.
I'd say one little CPU upgrade would get this great plug in working 100% with sympathetic responses,
Thanks Max
and Thank you Matthew.

I'm probably blind but where is the "save to stick"-command in the VFX-app? I just can't figure out how to copy my instruments to the stick...

Just copy and paste the Banks and Plugs folders found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME HERE\Application Data\vfx
you have to have your computer set to see hidden files in order to get these.

Paste the 2 folders to the USB stick(i keep my usb stick dedicated to these two folders only.. don't know if that's neccessary..)

If you are using the most up to date software(2008 1219)
there is an Export Machine in VFX...
click on the orange button.. go down to Machine.. you can then select your pen drive which by the way has to be formatted fat32.
good luck.

I've tried with three different sticks (all FAT32) without any success (export V-machine as well manually copying files). The V-machine doesn't regnognize any of them. One of them, a 4 Gb sandisk with some preinstalled software that seems to be impossible to delete, brings up a Startup-timeout-error. The display tells me to unplug the stick and reboot....

What's wrong?

You must insert the usb stick after the v-machine is on and running.

Thanks

Thought I read somewhere that I was supposed to boot with stick. It works great now.

When are you inserting the stick>

in 1219 you don't hold the learn button, just boot the machine up, then insert the stick once it is booted.

Yes, I found out. It works great. When is the next firmware-version coming? I'm dying to try IK Amplitube, SampleMoog etc. I still haven't been able to test Sampletank SE at all, not even in demo-mode (VFX complains about the installation). Posted my installation-paths a few days ago, but don't bother, I'll wait for the full version to work if the new VFX isn't far away.

Hi,

I think next week we will have a new release with all wizards already in the database of the application (in future they will auto detect the plugins).

In regards to your sample tank SE, it was probably not installed in the standard directory, (did you delete it from the VFX directory already and tried to re-import it? in 1219) should be

C:\program files\IK Sampletank 2 SE\

That is normally the issue, anyway in future you will be able to select where the plugin was istalled easily.

Hello VFXAU,

is there a difference between the C/R off tassmann4 and LoungeLizard? because there are wizards for the full versions of Loungelizard on your wizard database. are they working? and why ist tassman not working? both plugins are from AAS.

I will ask the one who does the Wizards... the Wizard maker :-)

That would be very nice !
i have a copy of LoungeLizardSession 3.0 (magware) and would like to see this on the V-machine. But when i register and get a response code for my computer (a special code just for the this special computer) that do not work at the v-machine i will have lost 1 code (because i do not use my computer for playing the plugin).

thx and i will wait for your answer :)
