He He, I wonder if we can find one feature all Bitwig users agree they want
I am glad I am not a developer!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

There may be a few things most users want.
Workflow tweaks, arranger and piano roll boosts should do some of this. Groove.
I think v6 will go to 6.3 maybe even a 6.4. So it's very possible that some things won't be in today's release.

I wish! Then I can do away with all vst plugins and only keep the AU versions.KamalaKlub wrote: Tue Aug 26, 2025 3:28 pm is this for real?
It would likely bring in more Apple people — as would adding functionality to open LOGIC projects in Bitwig

No idea why you'd want that. AU is the most limited format. No note expressions, weird MIDI routing rules, etc.Fleer wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 1:51 am I wish! Then I can do away with all vst plugins and only keep the AU versions.

when is it appropriate to start a 6.1 speculation thread?

Hadn’t thought of that.
Would you then swap all AU versions for VST3s?

CLAP, preferably. It's what VST3 should have been, instead of the weird COM-like OOP API nightmare it turned out to be. No weird workarounds needed internally for dealing with MIDI CCs and stuff like you have to do with VST3.Fleer wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 12:53 am Hadn’t thought of that.

There’s a special place in hell for people who keep speculation threads alive when a release thread is available.
