Artillery is awesome. No doubt. Everyone I know who's used it loves it. It's one of those rare plugs that, from my experience, seems to satisfy everyone (who would be interested in such a plug). I'm ecstatic about this deal cause the two sugar bytes plugs I would want are on sale. WOW would be cool, but these two are miles ahead.
I passed on both the D16 and and second guessing myself because I'm still looking for a good phaser, and the Wavearts track plug because the last thing I need is another channel strip, but again, second guessing this choice as well.
at $10 each (and free shipping!) how can you go wrong?

But is that only possible in US?antithesist wrote:I think it's kind of a Walmart/Costco type thing, too.
They leverage a really good bulk price for quantity.
In Europe there was this Hybrid3 £20 deal recently, but that turned out be just a total scam, where the dev intervened in this very forum

How can MF sell Artillery and Thesys for just $10 (free shipping) to US customers?
Is GC/MF that big that they can get so good deals from devs.
Why can't we have the same deals in Europe?
Would be interesting to know how Sugar Bytes feels seeing their software more or less handed out for free.
I doubt we make it to 5.
In any case, thanks for the heads-up on the d16 plugins, Examigan.

Well, MF don't seem to be the sharpest tools in the shed based on my dealings with them.Numanoid wrote:But is that only possible in US?antithesist wrote:I think it's kind of a Walmart/Costco type thing, too.

Sometimes, you can get some incredible deals just by calling them... but I learned that a lot of good deals can still add up to a lot of money, especially if you're impulse-buying.
I really think these $10 deals are more of a transition from their stone-age physical software shipments (which finally ended up just being a serial in an Amaray box) to electronic delivery.
But, I don't know why or how about much here (the CNN Republican debate circus seems to be on in the lounge, for example).

This is a nice one, launched for Guitar Center's anniversary, has always been $50, sometimes even lower. Worth buying.Hans25 wrote:UVI Synth Legacy special edition $50 (download) - http://www.musiciansfriend.com/software ... ductDetail
Also, nicer GUI than Digital Synsations.

If you don't use a host that supports AAX format plugins (aka ProTools), that is how.nathanj wrote:...the Wavearts track plug because the last thing I need is another channel strip, but again, second guessing this choice as well.

Track plug is VST or AAX. Just downloaded the demo. It seems pretty nice actually.VitaminD wrote:If you don't use a host that supports AAX format plugins (aka ProTools), that is how.nathanj wrote:...the Wavearts track plug because the last thing I need is another channel strip, but again, second guessing this choice as well.

To authorize the VST version of Trackplug you would have to pay much more. I don't know if they offer any crossgrade option from AAX to VST so I don't want to risk losing $10.

Well...that's good to know. I have both TS1 and TS2 from them...I'd say those plugins are the most essential ones from Wave Arts. Considering the TS2 is on sale...it's probably a good idea to look into getting that instead. I'd say, that plugin alone could add another dimension to your sound. Perfect Circuit Audio has sale above the sale price on the Tube Saturator 2.szurcio wrote:To authorize the VST version of Trackplug you would have to pay much more.
