Phew! Migration went really smoothly...
Does anyone know if it’s better to uninstall the old versions before installing the new ones?

Wishing everyone a healthy and financially stable 2018.

I just installed over the top (Win10 user installing the VST version) - The .dll names of the plugins are the same as the older ones so it just seemed to overwrite them

N.B. If you have the installers with files dated 25th December (some have _3.zip in the filename) you'll get an error message (mentioned here - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=496920&start=825#p6971547 ) but just press 'OK' and it'll continue installing anyway !

32-bit plugins are still in there. They get installed to where the standalone executables are (on Windows).

I thought Korg had said the new Collection was 64bit only?

Well, there isn't exactly a "new" Korg Collection yet. With the exception of Odyssey, all the rest it's what was already there in the old Korg Legacy Collection. So, maybe what they are saying is that future development will be 64-bit only.

Yeah, possibly. Current installers still have 32- and 64-bit plugins in them.

One more question... Is it absolutely necessary to upgrade the collection other than installing the new Odyssey? I don’t see any changes to the other software apart from the migration process.

I didn't. I just installed Odyssey. By authorizing Odyssey, the entire collection became registered in the new site. So, I kept the old versions installed (if it ain't broke...).

When Korg comes up with real new versions, I will then install them.

Thanks for the replies... Have a great 2018

But if you're only migrating and not buying the Odyssey as a collection upgrade, do download and install so you can register your migrated licenses.

I only installed ARP. I downloaded the rest, but didn't install as the file names and versions seemed to match the previous installers in my download folder.

Yes, you will need to install at least one of them.

I'm loving the Odyssey, sounds really good, but needs optimisation, and a fixed installer.
