There's an update coming May 21st that will include Nektar control. We know that from the Nektar/Presonus video from Superbooth. So, we know that much. Assuming it's 4.2.THE INTRANCER wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2019 4:00 pmPresonus don't typically reveal what updates there may be to Studio One prior to an imminent release which lands from the beginning to the middle of the last third of the month. It will be pretty much a showcase of hardware they have, and the current version of Studio One.SeeingInMidi wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2019 9:25 am Bumping this thread to ask if presonus is attending this years superbooth. Im craving a juicy update.

Huh!?SLiC wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2019 7:14 pm As I understood it ARA2 was going to be further integrated to allow the transfer of stuff like chord information.
Very interesting.
Got a link to this info?

Do you think they will do their own line of midi keyboards or is Nektar the answer?Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun May 12, 2019 9:37 pmThere's an update coming May 21st that will include Nektar control. From the email announcement advertisement to the Facebook page with " You Asked For It " in 80s look fashion as well as another Facebook post with the 80s TV series Golden Girls .... I'm just not sure what to think except 80s ???

Retrospective record? (i.e. as in 80's retrospective). Maybe a stretch. Might not be Studio one related at all..fedexnman wrote: Wed May 15, 2019 9:03 pm From the email announcement advertisement to the Facebook page with " You Asked For It " in 80s look fashion as well as another Facebook post with the 80s TV series Golden Girls .... I guess it something " You've Asked For " ? Lol .... I do NOT think it's StudioOne related either , I'm sure they'll be more S1V4 updates but like Apple , Presonus is a hardware company before they are a software company .

Well, in the email they said:Retrospective record? (i.e. as in 80's retrospective). Maybe a stretch. Might not be Studio one related at all..
The most popular customer feedback is available at https://answers.presonus.com/?sort=votes and by comments here: https://answers.presonus.com/?sort=answersYou’re invited to attend our exclusive online premiere event, where we'll announce our latest innovation—based on our most popular customer feedback.
So Retrospective Record / Capture Recording doesn't look completely unlikely. Can't really see anything there that would fit with the 80's aesthetic of the announcement.
Of course it could be another hardware controller or mixer or whatever.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

I like that way of thinking! It’s one of my most desired features in so4 (besides repitch/turntable timestretch)....DrEntropy wrote: Wed May 15, 2019 9:49 pmRetrospective record? MIDI was from the 80s, maybe they'll do some work to improve that side of the DAW.
