Has this expired? Really hoping this gets an official release sometime soon, or at least an updated alpha, I love this beast but seems to be crackling now and is driving me mad.

I just downloaded the Mac Bazille file in the original post, but I see that it's creation date and modification date is back in December 2010.. Is there a more recent version?
Thanks in advance..

I'm looking at the computer to drive the Bazille and eventually the Diva
Is a 27" i5 Imac with 3.1 Ghz and 4 cores fast enough?
It's awful big, so them synths should be able to virtually fit in there, should they not?
Great work on the DIVA btw.

I would recommend the i5 only if it's the Sandy Bridge generation, otherwise I'd go i7. I do think the 3+GHz ones are.
That's because there's a special instruction set from Sandy Bridge processors on which - might give us a significant speed bump, once we adjust the code for it.
(darn, I went home hungry before getting to do Bazille... tomorrow...)

Do you know if the i5's on the new Mac Mini are Sandy bridge?Urs wrote:I would recommend the i5 only if it's the Sandy Bridge generation, otherwise I'd go i7. I do think the 3+GHz ones are.

How does this differ from Zebra2? Is it just Zebra with cables so it looks more like ACE?
I don't own Zebra yet but would really love to. However, if the next flagship is just lurking around the corner...

Audio rate modulation of pretty much everything, feedback routing. Routable quantizer, sample and hold, lag, inverters and rectifiers. Morphing sequencer. The Oscillators are pretty different from whats available in Zebra too. I think one of the OscFX does phase distortion but you can't FM the wavetable oscs in Zebra.JessGins wrote:How does this differ from Zebra2?

Thanks for the response Justin. Appreciated.
Boy, that sounds like some advanced stuff to me. I actually want to buy Zebra as my "blank canvas" to learn synthesis from. All the research I've done on full-featured synths leads me to believe this is the right one.
However, sounds to me like the Bazille is just as capable, and (I know, sorry Urs) it's free to download and test. Would anyone recommend this as a Zebra alternative? I really want to learn a synth really well, inside and out. Would be nice to master a synth before it's even released.
