Did not resolve the issue here.
Me either. 3 times.

I just compared the permissions between AT4 and AT5, I see no differences there either, nor do I want to have to mess with things that should not have to be messed with.

Hoping for an update to be fixing this soon.

Any known issues with the stand-alone not receiving input or outputting any audio for many people?

Yes, I have a ticket in.

Here is the workaround, and probable cause... :

I know there was an issue for some with Fender Collection and SVX 2 not available but I'm told the only outstanding missing gear issue is with the Tiny Terror when received via the somewhat recent giveaway. If you do a Restore Purchases and still don't see that gear, please let me know.
The SVX 2 collection is not showing up for me. Just purchased it and it won't take. The gear shows up in AmpliTube 4, but not AmpliTube 5. Tried restoring gear, registering with both old Authorization Manager and new Product Manager, etc., with no luck.

That's weird. Tried going through all steps again (for about the 6th time) and the SVX 2 collection shows up now in AmpliTube 5. Strange. I did let the Custom Shop app sit there for a while after restoring purchases - maybe that was it. SVX 2 still doesn't show up in the Products expando button for AT5 as a purchase in the Product Manager, but since the amps work in the software now, I'll just let it be. :)

Amplitube 5 doesn't load spent too long today on a broken not ready for release disappointment. Not good!

I found some graphical errors that should have been caught during testing:

'57 Custom Deluxe:
When switch is facing SINGLE, graphics show the amp bridged, and vice versa.

Pitch Shifter (rack):
When switch is facing SPLIT, STEREO light is lit, and vice versa.

And also, the Harmonator rack's pan knobs don't seem to do anything.

why with every release it gets so toxic? so much drama and disappointment.

MixBox was out and it was cesspool going through the roof, this thing is out and the story repeats. there's an obvious tendency going on and it gets bloody long in the tooth already.

if this was my development team, I'd tell them: "buggers, one more fecal fountain like this and you get no Xmas bonus this year, period". or even worse, "-20% off your monthly salary, now cry me a river".

over the years I've come to a firm assertion that nothing works better on lame duck employees than the fear of losing their dear shekels. other than firing the buggers, but that's the ultimate measure.

Release it now- I want it now- why are we waiting!!!....
Released to early, full of bugs....wasn't ready for release....

To be fair, the demand for release comes from IK's marketing model- announce way too early, take pre-order money way to early- put unnecessary pressure on the Dev team to get something out. I much prefer the 'just realise it when its ready' model and 'then' market the product!

I don't know why IK doesn't release betas to everyone first...seems like the solution to their poor record on QC.

Yeah... I hope that’s your brand of humor and not your real opinion. Dude!

Apart from the lazy developers trope, do you really think anyone is in the plug-in business für the money? If you want to be paid well, go develop for banks, insurances, oil and medical industries. Audio is not where the money is

Well, bugs aside, I'm very impressed. I've compared to NeuralDSP Archetype Nolly, and with the VH4 and Bogner models, I found myself preferring Amplitube 5 for high-gain tones. Which I was not expecting.

Background - I used Amplitube 2 on my bands first album after our 2nd guitarists DSL blew up the day before tracking was to begin. So we used one of the Marshalls in AT2. I wasn't 100% happy with the tone to be honest, it was quite mid-heavy and lacked the grunt that I was hearing in my Laney VH100R tracks, but I made it work and we got the album out.

For our second album, there were a few clean parts that I used Amplitube 3 on, but mainly it was used on the bass guitar for a layer of crunch that I would bring in for heavy parts.

For the third album similar story, I used Amplitube 3 on a few clean parts, and on some bass parts too.

I felt at the time that I had to really over correct tonal issues with EQ. Nothing major, but it was a bit of a pain fitting it into a mix.

AT5 doesn't have the cloudy mids that all the other versions had. And it doesn't have the harshness in the highs that the other versions have. To my ears the ice-pick tendency of Amplitube is now gone.

So I have a Kemper, and a Line 6 Helix Floor as well as Helix Native. I also have NeuralDSP Archetype Nolly, Nameless, Fortin NTS, and Cali Suite. I also have real valve amps - Orange Rockerverb MKIII, Diezel D-Moll, Diezel VH4, and VHT Sig:X, with a couple of cabs to choose from.

Overall I'm very happy with the tones I am hearing from AT5, and will be adding it to the collection of tools!!

It's a really damn amazing time to be a guitarist when you think about it. So many great bits of kit.

Nor here...releasing a version that doesn't work at all stand alone for many users seems a bity odd?

Are only inputs 1 and 2 working (I have my guitar on 3) and do we have to select (for example) 3 for booth L and R? (in my other sims there in and off)- I have an X32 as my IO (32 in, 32 out), it doesn't like it!

I don't have the Jimi Hendrix collection show up in A5 despite owning all the parts in CS, is this because the only version now seems to be 'anniversary edition' and I had the Standard edition- what's going on here?

When I was youngun had to sell real guitars to feed family and use a stick play air guitar. This is much better days indeed.

Post

I am normally using left input number 3, so in AT4 it is 3L + 3R.

It should be exactly the same way in AT5, but since the ASIO input numbers are scrambled (for some of us?/all?) in AT5, I set inputs to 2L + 3R - with my guitar actually still in 3L.

For now, it works here (RME Babyface Pro).

Thanks to somebody on IK forum for the workaround. No word from support still.

I also noted issues with Harmonator scale and key selectors (tiny arrows) going wonky/semi-unresponsive here.

I am pretty sure that the Harmonator has been somewhat improved, it sounds great and it tracks excellent. I have many other harmonizers both hardware and software. This one is :tu:

I am also very much liking the new AT5 interface/routings/fx racks and noticeably improved sound, I have pretty much every software amp sim there is, and real amps too. This one will get plenty of use here.

Definitely an improvement across the board Let's just get the kinks worked out, IK will get there.
