My latest album is In The Mists Of Time And Space, and is available on Bandcamp

This is an album of nine loosely related tracks. Most are completely new, but some are major revisions of older work. All of them rely on the Yoshimi soft-synth (Linux only)

It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

E165

More drone-adjacent improvisations. This time there were rules!
- album title must begin with "E" and first and last notes must be "E"
- all tracks recorded in album order, and crossfaded smoothly from one to the next
- odd-numbered tracks use only bass guitar -- heavily processed and many layers.
- even-numbered tracks begin with DecadeBridge Sn, use VCV Rack modules from Synthesis Technology in the middle, and end with Arturia Buchla Easel V. (Other modular/semi-modular/software synths in between.)
100% of proceeds will be donated to the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union).
Dedicated to Jonathan Stearne (JES) and Paul Schreiber (paults), RIP.
Notes are here.

After an inspired year of writing I'm finally ready to release this new Missiles Kill Militants album into the wild! If you managed to buy or at least listen to my first release, Sublimate, you will be familiar with the sound of this new work - but in a bit of a departure, I'm introducing well-placed banter between a psychiatrist and his male patient, strategically placed to enhance the musical experience and provide a semblance of story. This banter continues next year on my third MKM album because, as it happens, every conversation IS therapy. I'm so very proud of this album. Please enjoy it - and thank you.
Available on all streaming services and for purchase in better-than-CD quality on Bandcamp.

Think most of these have been posted on here in one form or another, but now all given a final spruce up and packaged together as an album. Less electronic-y than me last one; more geetar indie rokkism, hence the title!
Bandcamp downloads cost nowt as ever. Will stick it on the Spotify etc when I get my arse in gear.

Suspension

Drone-adjacent improvisation on modular synths, software, some bass guitar. Inspired by suspended chords (sus2/sus4) and by suspending audio in delay buffers, long reverbs and spectral FX. Free/pay-what-you-want.
Notes on the gear/production are here.

My fourteenth album - "Displacements" - was released yesterday on Bandcamp. It consists of seven tracks, with a total running time of over 50 minutes, which are probably classifiable as ambient, but with some glitchy intrusions. As usual, there are contrasting elements of darkness and light, which I like to listen to as the light fades from the sky. All tracks were originally written between 2021 and 2023. Final mixing/mastering was completed between November 2021 and December 2024.
"Paramnesia" provided the initial inspiration for this album, but my mind drifted towards related considerations.
It is available as a download for £5.00 in a choice of encodings.

I hope you will enjoy it

Just dropped my new track. I’d love to hear your honest thoughts—what vibes with you the most, and what could be even better? Its blend of deep and progressive house. Your feedback really helps me grow as an artist

Open/Close

I'm playing with a bit more negative space on this one, it's not all drones all the time. Also some inspiration from the more experimental side of shoegaze, which does lead back to those tasty noisy drones. Modular synths, software, and one track with super heavily processed bass guitar. Free/pay-what-you-want.
