Vintage Vault as an item "discontinued" for sale from Musicians Friend, and "discontinued" for sale by UVI are two different things.

Musicians Friend often offers items at a drastic discount for a limited time, then reverts back to the original selling price. Nothing of sinister intent there.

They, also, occasionally, drop items from their inventory and no longer offer them for sale.

I ordered the Vintage Vault on Saturday evening, as soon as I saw the offer.

My tracking number says both the software and keyboard will arrive tomorrow. If so, then they did fulfill their obligation and sale what they had in stock.

As far as Vintage Vault still showing for sale on the site, I have seen many times items kept on the site for a short time (perhaps until they are sure no more will arrive?), then be taken down and no longer offered for sale.

I suspect UVI is discontinuing the boxed version. So, from Musician's Friend's standpoint, it is being discontinued. UVI will likely keep selling the download.

On the bright side I got the upgrade to BFD3 for $50. That has shipped. Can't win em all..

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around, I somehow got unsubscribed from the thread. Soundtoys only offers the individual upgrades directly and we can only offer the Upgrade from the Native Effects Bundle.

Dubious reason?

Sounds plausible if their website ordering system vs warehouse inventory system are updated at different rates.. provided these are two different bits of software/database values. That said, if I was developing that system, I'd likely show exactly the warehouse count on the website and refresh the warehouse count upon attempting customer order of said product (before allowing them to pay). That way, there is no possible method of placing an order without having stock on hand (unless someone in the warehouse damages/loses items in inventory).

Not sure how it would be illegal though so long as they haven't taken, and are not withholding, money.

Too bad for those of you wanting this. The keyboard is junk at least.. so you didn't lose anything there... silver linings.

I'm interested to know as well. Although I'm wondering if it wouldn't be too much since I already have EW Hollywood Strings gold, which is more or less the same size.

From what I have heard, the scripting is not on par but the sound quality of the samples are pretty good. There was a thread in which members of VI-Control was asking for some script updates and fixes. Don't know if they have been delivered.

Yeah, that's the typical price I've seen it at. I think you are confusing the Independence Pro Software Suite with Independence Pro, which comes with both the Software Suite and a 70GB lib.
