Delete Zebra stuff in

MacHD/Library/Receipts/

That should make your system forget 8)
nope, nothing there.. as i said already deleted cause i used easyfind which finds everything.
there is nothing on my entire system with u-he or zebra in the name.
Hmmm, then I don't know. There should be a way to manually unpack these installers though.

Anyone?
what about the other osc mseg question?
I didn't quite catch that... Zebra won't give you an error if presets are missing. You must rely on yourself to check whether presets are present or not.

Btw. we're in the Dandenongs from Boxing Day till mid of January, and then in St. Kilda from February till end of March. There's a good chance for a personal visit.

It doesn't for me and we suspect that it has something to do with 10.6.2.

(This will wait for a later fix, though. Not very important.)
Sorry but it's work fine for me with Digital Performer but you're right, this is not possible since LOGIC 9.02_

No, the module presets are there only as a means of convenience for patch design. The actual presets are self contained and do not rely on any of these.

Right, preset drag works fine in Plogue Bidule/10.6.2, just not in Logic 9.0.2.

Just tried the new demo. I love the idea that I install the Zebra Data folder wherever I want. It'd neat if the installer would include the well-known freeware banks, too. ;)
Nice to see Zebrify finished, I just couldn't use the envelope detector and pitch tracker due to the lack of understanding and time.
Unfortunately the new Zebra 2.5 doesn't work for me cause of my computer limitations (non SSE2), and it has a really strange behaviour.
I'm looking forward this new version when I'll have a decent PC someday
So, all in all thanks for the updates, Urs ;)

but lastly, i think you must be busy as anything cause you missed my question again,
WHAT does zebra 2 install... should be installing factory OSC?
Zebra 2.5 installs the following:

Programs:
Zebra2 (.dll or .component)
Zebrify (.dll or .component)
Zebralette (.dll or .component)
Zrev (.dll or .component)

Data:
Zebra.data which contains presets, skins.
Zebra 2.3 Howard Scarr presets plus the new 2.5 update directory
Zebra Factory Oscillators (same as the 2.3 oscillators)

You can easily see what's in the package by downloading the Windows pre-installed version, even on a Mac you can browse the files.

Regarding 3rd party Oscillators. Any time you create a preset, it saves the state of the oscillator(s) with the preset. You could create presets using factory oscillators and/or 3rd party oscillators, save the preset, then delete the oscillator presets. The saved preset will wholly contain the oscillator information. It's not like, say, Alchemy that references external files from a preset. The same is true for MSEG data.

Which has always led me to wonder...If I made a bank of presets, and one of the OSCS used a Zebra Science or Zebra Playground OSC, could I distribute the preset? Technically the raw osc source is not my IP...

Every time I use Zebra I have a huge grin on my face because I traded it for a license of Massive... thanks to whoever I did this with!
Oh man did that guy get duped! I can't imagine trying both and going with Massive.
I have Massive but have not even installed it on my new audio computer. The few noise-ish sounds I used to use are now replaced with ACE. Not to mention that the FM type sounds from ACE are so much livelier than FM8. I might be NI free at last!! 8)

Urs and Howard - this is brilliant.

I just got totally lost in playing some of the new presets for hours.
Many of them let me view complete movies inside my brain.

Wow.

Thank you so much for this Christmas package :-)

Just download the pre-installed Receptor version here: http://zebrasynth.com/download/Zebra25PreInstalled.zip and go into:

Code: Select all

Zebra25PreInstalled.zip/u-he/Zebra2.data/Modules/Oscillator/Factory OSCs/*.h2p
Those will work on Mac as the h2p format is platform agnostic.

Yes, and then put them here:

MacHD/Library/Application Support/u-he/Zebra2/Modules/Oscillator/Factory OSCs/
