*chuckle* yeah that'd be a good move for NI...bodan wrote:ni will release or announce some hardware stuff for djs

That breathing sound we are all making now, accompanied with our headshaking, shall hereby be known as the NI Sigh.

That's cool but it has nothing to do with that. It is a new instrument! Very unusual the way you use it as a controller. I want one! Haha. Well, I haven't played it yet, I've just seen pictures of it but I thought it was a cool thing to have in the booth. I think they keyboardist from The Cure is demoing it a little bit or something... I don't know, I am so busy with the other side of the booth where we'll have performances and supposedly I am joining in on all sorts of things amidst meetings... I don't know how I will do it.lex_strooder wrote:Combining this with http://www.karma-lab.com/forum/showthre ... eadid=8447 would maybe give us a hint...Squids wrote:... Oh, in the Sonic Reality booth which is three times larger than last year (to give you an idea of the scope of what we have going on) we will also have a REALLY unusual instrument that is totally new. I don't think it's ever been seen before actually, so an invention that controls midi in a unique way. We didn't invent it, this is something from another company that is sharing a piece of our booth just because it's cool (not it's not the Continuum although I was considering bringing mine just for the fun of it). ...
if this collaboration is true, it will be a huge hit

No it won't, what am I thinking
PART I.
I was hoping for UNIWIRE (Bidirectional Rewire) that allowed for the modular routing of external signals through Combinator FX Chains, Spider AUDIO Splitters/Mergers and the Audio Inputs of Maelstrom etc and then back into you host.
So you could for example process audio tracks in your host through Maelstrom / B512 Vocoder / Scream / MClass Devices / REV7000 and Combinator Devices also.
PART II.
A seperate Fully Modular Synth that could utilise the Rebirth Input Machine and Use UNIWIRE to create Custom modular signal and device chains of host track audio streams etc also using the same method.
PART III.
All Rebirth 338 devices now supplied as rack synths in Reason as is in a new revision thus enmabling Mac users and Pc users to do away with Rebirth (lets face it you need BootCamp and XP on a Mac to run it anyway which must be a pain in the ass for Mac users).
PART IV.
An expanded Combinator with at least 8 assignable rotary controllers , 8 assignable function buttons and a more advanced modulation matrix.
PART V.
NNXT to have bidirectional, bowtie, bowtie crossfade, synthesise looping algo's. Full control of realtime sample loop start and endpoint modulation with the ability to create Ensoniq style transwaves built into the sampler.
Two extra LFO's and One Audio Rate LFO built in that can perform both FM and AM modulation of samples loaded into NNXT.
PART VI.
A totally revamped sequencing engine built into Reason itself.
OK I'm allowed to dream aren't I ?

The picture on the front page of the GMedia website features a Matrix 12 (as well as a Minimoog and an OSCar). I love those Matrix 12 pads so it'll be awesome to have a kosher software version of it. If not, it'll surely be me screaming like a bastard..Squids wrote:That SOB! Awesome. I love the o'l Oberheims. I wish someone would do the SEM though. That's the best sounding one IMO. I actually have an 8 voice still in a rack with midi. Love that thing.
On another related note of things Oberheimy and forthcoming, Zebra 2's apparently getting some Oberheim filters in its update soon.

If you've already got PPG Wave 2.V and the nice people at GForce outboard the filters into a VST effect like they did with the Minimonsta, you could do it virtually. A bit.Squids wrote:

EDIT: Just realised you could have been referring to the boxes on top. Never mind me..
