did you see the small keyboard map button on the GUI ? I guess it might be cool to have the note names with the pads, but since some pads are triggered by several notes it might be confusing.softegg wrote:what else?

yes I thought that and it's also relative to the octave, anyway I could write in small font the relative MIDI names on GUI if really neededfabi wrote:did you see the small keyboard map button on the GUI ? softegg wrote:Currently there is no graphic indication wether miss-triggering is on or not ( I know second half of Master chaos = on ) but, some LED on the GUI indicating this would be useful. ( Consider that most people read the manual only if they run into a problem!, that is why I think all features should be visible from GUI. )what else?
Personally I do not like the way miss-trigerring is controlled right now. I would prefer having the master chaos slider doing only chaos, and having miss-trigerring on/off assigned to a midi note. ( To me this seems to make more sense from a performance point of view. )

good idea for on/off assigned to a midi note

what we need I think are "MIDI file - preset" pairs,
so that we can name the .mid after a preset in the bank and the .mid is single short track meant to demonstrate the sound of that preset

Hmmmm, sounds fun. Any "sure to be included" presets available for my song writing monkey to play with? She promises, no more F_209_Mambo.liqih wrote:what we need I think are "MIDI file - preset" pairs,

There seems to be a way to pass the info midi note x is (snare/BD/ whatever) to the host, RMIV does this for instance, so that the names of the notes are shown in the hosts piano roll (This works in FL Studio. I do not know which other hosts support this feature.)
There seems to be a misunderstanding, that is not what I ment. The GUI is perfectly alright and the little keyboard knob works fine. I will try to explain what I mean :yes I thought that and it's also relative to the octave, anyway I could write in small font the relative MIDI names on GUI if really needed

ah I understand now, but I didn't know about that and of course I don't know how to do it so far,
anyway what I usually do is to click on the keyboard of the host piano roll to find the sound, <grin>

no crashes.
noticed in the BDM build from 120707 (the "name it yourself" build...) the decay time for the long and short snare is the same (ie- d2 and e2 have the same decay time...) anyone concur?

The about-pop.bmp is for Modelonia not BDM. I'm assuming its no longer needed as the about box is on the keymap button?liqih wrote:Release skin

I've only tried in Ext 1, MiniHost and Renoise so far. I'll try and test in Audiomulch And Orion in the next couple of days.
Desktop resolution is 1280 x 1024 under XP SP2 on a Q6600.
Only slightly confusing thing I've found is that to me the vco/pcm mix fader seems to be the wrong way round. Moving up, to my mind, should be more VCO rather than less as the PCM section is on the bottom, if that makes sense.

for the Mix fader you are actually right but I liked graphically better the VCO at the bottom, is it so confusing?
