That's possible.Bonteburg wrote:Possibly, MU.LAB could unselect all previously selected parts whenever you perform a split, giving you a clean slate.
Do others agree?

If you can save a sequence, why not allow it to be dragged to the desktop (saving with the sequence name)?mutools wrote:No.Bonteburg wrote:Bug: Dragging sequences from the arranger window onto my desktop crashes MU.LAB.
Is two-way drag and drop even supposed to be a feature?It's not supported, but it should not crash.I was just giving it a go out of interest, when *bam*.
Will be fixed.
Thanks for reporting!
I agree !!!mutools wrote:That's possible.Bonteburg wrote:Possibly, MU.LAB could unselect all previously selected parts whenever you perform a split, giving you a clean slate.

Next version 2.04 will have finetuned selection behaviour in this case.robenestobenz wrote:Yeah, i agree with split deselecting both parts. I've found this a bit of a hindrance a few times.
One thing i find a bit odd about the selection behaviour in Mulab is the way a single click on an object that is one of multiple selected objects doesn't do anything. I think it'd be better if a single left click changes the selection to just that object.
Researching...this might be a bug: when i split a part and then unrolled the later side of the split, the position of the sequence within the part changed- the sequence start was moved to the part start- i.e. the later part repeated the part on the left side of the split.
I don't understand what you mean..?Bonteburg wrote:I find that posting about all this sequence/technical stuff in a straightforward, lucid way is a real problem solving task
Because it needs other technology.pljones wrote:If you can save a sequence, why not allow it to be dragged to the desktop (saving with the sequence name)?
Given the way I work, I'm usually moving things later in time than earlier (Ah, maybe that's why my intros are always too long?) so 3 would suit me fine. The advantage of 2 though, is that it doesn't assume anything and gives you a fresh start. What about everyone else here?mutools wrote:Regarding the split-selection issue:
In fact there are multiple possibilities:
-> split doesn't change selection
-> split unselects all
-> split selects 'new' part i.e. the right part
Maybe option 3 is the most logical one.
oh never mind that ..mutools wrote:I don't understand what you mean..?Bonteburg wrote:I find that posting about all this sequence/technical stuff in a straightforward, lucid way is a real problem solving task
