Looking at the OSM file, it's pretty obvious its beyond my understanding... looks incredibly complicated!!

I've got a small midi project I'm trying to design at the moment. It's basically an on-screen midi controller for NI Traktor. It's as simple as 10 midi CC knobs and a midi controllable menu that allows you to change the function of the 10 midi knobs from a small selection of CC's. It should be able to accept midi in and output midi but doesn't require any audio/sound generation.

I'd be willing to actually paypal someone a small donation if they were willing to develop it for me... let me know if you're interested. I suspect it'd be less than a couple of hours of work... :)
I'm ready to make it for free, just for the fun of the challenge.
The most tricky parts of the osm schematic are the sysex messages.
Furthermore, sysex messages prohibit a vst version.
I gather information on Traktor right now.
We should use private messages to not pollute this forum with this project.

hi jemap

thanks for the Xio editor (i cant use the ctrl one at all).

it does seem to crash every now and then, i cant find the cause, it seems intermittent.
i am using Vista (yeah, yeah i know), could this be the problem?
the exe also does not stop in the task manager when the editor crashes, i have to manually end the process.
the message i picked up on the synthmaker forums for exe's created from the synthmaker program is that they buggy in general. could it be that the synthmaker engine is giving the instability on my system?

still its a hassle i deal with, because its less of a hassle than all thoose bloody hard to see silver on silver labels on this great but cosmetically stupid synth.

so until i cave in and get the Ultranova and win7 thank you very much for your work!

ps. your patch librarian is stable and fantastic thanks :)

Midi drivers can also be a source of unstability sometimes.
Perhaps I have to track a bug underlying somewhere. I will soon test a recompiled exe from a newer version of SynthMaker under Vista.

awesome thanks for the reply :)

looking forward to a new version, and thanks again for your generosity. using your editor, even with the crashes, is still much faster and more enjoyable than programming on the synth itself.

Hey everyone!
I just got myself a xioSynth and using the native editor is absolutely terrible... Any suggestions/help with that?

Hello everyone. All download links for Xio (and other old Novation synths) are dead. So I spent a lot of time to find all necessary software/soundbanks/etc for Xio. So if it'll help to someone - just great. Is is still possible to download all this from Novation official website for other synths too. So, my way: web.archive.org (to open a snapshot of necessary download page) and Yandex.cache to find files there.

This link seems to also be dead... Could you maybe share your own install?
