The lfos go out of sync after a few bars.

that sucks.

and the arpegiator sometimes does some glitching at the beggining. even with the smooth attack or declick attac option( dont remember the exact name)

That's because of the swing parameter... it modulates the host tempo internally and that leads to precision errors. Unfortunately it also leads to glitches when hosts don't count quarters continuously, e.g. if they reset the song position in loop based regions.

I'll see what I can do about this, but for now it's most likely that not using swing solves these issues.

Well i haven't got much experience on any audio related topics really , but, as seen as this is my first post :)

Off the top of my head as these are just suggestions maybe something like a basic spectral synth section where the wavetables are, where you can put images in and make sounds like with the metasynth which i find very entertaining having just tried a friends demo version of it.
(maybe a cost add on or extra like zebralette?)

Aaaaaand, maybe a basic tube emulation module on the synthesis page i only say this because i tried out a korg emx and esx for a few months.

Dont know enough to have a gripe really but i have just got the arksun sounbank
because at this stage in the game sometimes i need more presets for inspiration
(if that makes sense ?)

Arp also goes out of sync when using swing.

i cant stop using swing.

it would rock if it gets fixed.

New to this forum even though I am a total Zebra evangelist.
I did not go through and read all the posts but In my case I would like to have Zebra respond to the Arrows keys to go through the Presets instead of Clicking the mouse. Is this possible?

The rest is just as good as it gets.

hm over here it responses to the arrow key if im in preset page ..

Zork, what do you mean...

In some hosts sometimes it's possible to use the arrow keys after selecting a preset in the internal preset browser. It doesn't always work though, so I'm looking for better ways.

Maybe I make it so that you can set up the lowest two black keys of your keyboard to browse through presets...

Yes, in MuLab iI can do it as you say but it would be better with the arrows.
This synth grows faster than I can learn.
I see now why Michael Kastrup went from the Combinator to Zebra. It is really an amazing organic synth.

Because of it I sold all my hardware (MKS80 etc) and got 2 Yamaha HS80M just for the pleasure of hearing Zebra.

Time for me to chip in...

I voted for waveshaper guts, but if I could be greedy I'd also ask for faster aftertouch response. Assign tune to aftertouch in an osc and apply pressure quickly to see what I mean (I hope..?). Strangely, if it's assigned in the ModMatrix it reacts faster, but still a way off realtime.

Same rate within the osc or via the mod matrix here. Fast enough for me (and I'm picky!)

Hmm, that's odd... I get a much slower ramp up & down in Zebra compared to other synths, and it's only aftertouch that's affected - modwheel, knobs, ribbon controller are all fast enough. What could be causing that?

Do you have polyphonic aftertouch?

Not on this keyboard. I have another one that does though...

Post

Hmmm... well that could've been a bug in the PolyAT, but then it's not.

Strange though. Aftertouch is evaluated just like any other controller. If you create a sweep from 0-127 in your daw, once for AT and once for e.g. Breath Control, and you check how each sweeps the oscillator frequency or anything, both sweeps should be exactly the same...
