Well... only because Photoshop may or may not have fixed its market leading position by tolerated piracy does not mean that this can be used as an argument for piracy in the general case. I do not know what Adobe's stand point towards piracy is. My standpoint (which is commonly shared by those who run KVR) for sure is that there is *no* excuse for software piracy.

In lieu of that, your statement was borderline.

:dog: Do not taunt the Meffy for he walks softly and carries a large stick. :smack:

For everyone else, here's a thoroughly on-topic picture of singing Zebras.

wow.

WOW.

and my previous statement about how I pay for all my software ?
and the much worse statements of others? I mean if that statement for the sake of discussion is borderline what about the others ? and most importantly of all THE GUY WHO STARTED THE THREAD WHO IS OBVIOUSLY PRACTICING PIRACY ?

nevermind. Not interested in clique politics. The newbie gets the shit end of the stick.

He appears to have banned himself out of near-terminal embarrassment. If he comes back and hasn't wised up he's history. Take the hint. Discuss music and enjoy.

hint well & truly received!

thanks!

No. When you signed up at KVR you agreed to certain rules. That's one of them. Now let it go and discuss music, 'kay? Thanks.

I hope you're able to get Zebra, as it's one of the best all-'round synths out there. It's on my wish list too. Good luck with it.

All good & much appreciated 8)

No worries, things can get a little rough here and there, but there's really no snobbery against newcomers here, at least not here in the u-he part.

The OP is, well, as Meffy said... somewhat banned himself

Post

We all pirated...i know i did 8)

However, i find myself enjoying the service, the great (and often fast) updates, fora and extra's (coupons, great deals, bonus packages etc...). There is no reason for me to pirate anymore. It comes at a great cost IMHO.

U-He has some great sounding high quality vst's and i think the pricing is more then reasonable. Bazille anyone?.........

I feel sorry for all those musicians that lived before the year 2000.

They couldn't be creative (or scratch their creative itch) without owning/stealing a copy of Zebra 2.

I guess that's why they created no music and all became criminals.

Live and learn, I guess. Thanks for saving us, Urs.

Post

Yeah they had to settle for stealing Sylenth1 for a couple of years before Zebra.

Post

I think the truly big vst run around 2000/2005, made a lot of pirates. Everyone wanted to have everything...

I don't think the topic you are discussing is allowed on kvr.

What isn't KVR?

There are many things that KVR isn't but in particular the following aren't welcome:

KVR isn't a place for obtaining or discussing warez, cracks, porn, politics, etc.
Flames/Stupid arguments.
Elite-ness/Egos/One-upmanship/Penis comparison/Parent fights/etc.
Format wars (Please…)/Host wars (Come on, try now…)/Platform wars (Leave it Darren, it’s not worth it…).
KVR isn't a free for all democracy where you can say what you like about who you like, respect one another and they will respect you.
Tread very carefully.

I think that people who left piracy behind and became legit set a good example. Talking about that shouldn't be forbidden IMHO.

Hehehe, I also don't think that discussing the history, belief system and implications of the warez scene is the same as "discussing warez", i.e. talking about a distinct download, crack or website.

I am clearly not a moderator or the police :-)... Just didn't' want anyone innocently banned or suspended.

Makes me laugh when I see people on Urs own youtube channel asking for a crack for Zebra. Wish I could see a melting Zebra.
My first synth in my adult years was Zebra ran the demo hours per day for months while saving for Omnisphere but there was no sound in that like Zebra and not as versatile for making pre-sets so I ended up owning both.
