Yes, i altered the date in the suggested file name manually. I just think that when one chooses "save as" instead of just "save" it should be clear that I do not want to save it under the very same name and thus a new name should be suggested, i.e. including today's date in my case.

Yesterday I got that old error message again, but this time I know it happened because something was wrong, notes were hanging, sounded like a machine gun
Is there a way to just restart the audio engine while Mulab is running?

I want to add that it's not normal what you're experiencing. I never heard something like that before. Maybe check the support webpages of the audio card manufacturer and eventually email them. You could also google around about this.

I don't think it is so unusual, there are VST's with a panic button for such cases. I must add that I was using some plugin again when it happened yesterday.

Something I just noticed... My saved template is 70 bpm. I open it to create a new song and try and change the tempo, and it keeps changing back? Is it supposed to do that?

I just tried that, it doesn't do that here. When exactly does it change back, i.e. upon which action?
Man, you are even slower than I am, my template has 80 bpm

That's why I was changing... Ha! Apparently I wasn't paying attention. I change it to 110 and save. Hit the space bar and it jumps back to 70 bpm??

Have you used the tempo bar to insert a tempo change in the sequencer? When the play head passes this (i.e. when you "hit the space bar"), it will change the tempo from whatever it's currently set to to the "recorded" tempo.

Just found out how to add fade-in for the entire session, looks so cool when the fader moves all by itself

cool. you should do some research on optimizing your computer (including virtual memory usage with focus on real time tasks) for music. i still use xp pro 32 and there is a wealth of how tos out there for music optimization. it makes all the difference in the world.
