Vengeance has to be the king of wankville with their BS e-licenser transfer policy... you have to:

1) seller sends buyer their e-Licenser with license on it...

OR

2) buyer sends their dongle to seller, so seller can plug it into his/her computer and transfer the license from seller-dongle to buyer-dongle... then of course, send the dongle back to buyer...

OR

3) buy a new e-licenser, put license on it, and send to buyer.

next (assuming prospective buyer has not been found hung in their bedroom; and thus, is still willing to participate in "The Wringling Bros. Barnum, Bailey and Keilworth circus")

THEN

4) buyer must purchase a one-time license transfer activation code-thinga-ma-jig from Vengeance. This one-time fee can then be used for other Vengeance licenses that seller might want to sell... assuming... that the sellers cyanide pill has not yet fully "finished the job", and he/she still has enough physical and mental capacity to carryout yet another sale.

5) Then, assuming seller found someone sadistic enough to allow themselves to be subjected to such excrement as this, the seller provides Vengeance with buyer's info. so that they can be added to database.

I think i'd rather snort broken glass.

I`m not sure of this, but on looking recently I found FXpansion charge $50 a license transfer, so I can see why you were asking:

FXpansion $50 Fee:

Also to add from recent sales:

Linplug: $12.50 Fee, (No NFR: As checked in Nov 2013)

Meterplugs: No Fee, No NFR: As checked Feb 2015

Arturia switched over to their own Software Center software. They no longer require eLicenser. You can activate their software on up to 5 computers. If you email them at registration-inquiry@arturia.com with your serial number and unlock code they'll de-register your product so you can resell it. They don't charge any fees for license transfer.

It used to be that you had to transfer the licenses to an eLicenser dongle in order to resell or use on multiple computers, but too many people had issues with that, so they implemented a much better system.

It took a little while for both parties to reach Andy at Cytomic, but once we reached him, the transfer process was pretty quick. No fees, no NFR, but you WILL only be considered a license holder and not a customer until you purchase a product directly from Cytomic (thus not be eligible for a 30% discount on a second Cytomic product.)

Makes total sense why Andy would do this. In my case, I hold a The Glue license and can't get 30% off of The Drop.

Hope this helps anyone looking to transfer a Cytomic product!

D16 has no fees and no NFR. You go into your own user area on their website, and fill out a form to transfer you license(s) to another user. However, they process these transfers manually, so it can take until the morning of their next business day. So... if you do a transfer on a Friday night, don't expect to receive your license until Monday morning.

QuickQuak: No fee, but after one transfer it becomes NFR.

Illformed Glitch2

No fee, but NFR after sale!
Hi,

If you buy a used license, then you cannot freely transfer it to another person.

If you're unsure about Glitch, then please try the demo version first
before making any decisions.

Cheers,

Does anyone know if Audiffex VSTs are NFR once resold? I bought the GK bass amp vst on the Market Place and in the year I've had it, haven't really used it much. So I want to sell it. But I don't know if it became NFR once I bought it second hand.
