That would be epic! Challenge acceptedHink wrote:I can...give me a day or 10Amberience wrote:Hey Hink,
I am *massively* interested in hearing some clips from that Jet City ISO cab you have. Got any hard-rock 'heavy' rhythm stuff I can hear?...I have some from before but not after
If you like Andy send me some dry guitar parts and I'll run it through my re-amper set as you like it

Only the wonderful TSE X47 "rodent" pedal in front of the amps, a little of reverb (Voxengo OldSchoolVerb) and delay (Cockos Readelay), nothing more.

Which do you think sounds more "organic", "realistic", so to speak, A,B,C or D?
Which you like more? Who do you think is is who?
Edit: Added another amp sim, the "E" letter
I DO LIKE THE "A" ONE

I do play with Amplitube 3 through two 100 watt keyboard amps and believe me it sounds awsome, they move air and makes you feel you're in front of real guitar amps.zerocrossing wrote:I bring this up all the time. You're totally right. A lot of people don't understand that these products only get as close as an approximation of a recording of a tube amp. This, of course, can be good, but as far as getting exactly the experience of standing next to a tube amp... fat chance. I think the Line6 HD500/DT50 combo gets around this by going a hybrid approach but recordings of the direct out from this combo don't do that much for me. Another approach I thought would be great would be the real tube amp into the Two Notes Torpedo cab simulator. Again, closer than software, not exact, but still hardware. In the end I passed on both of these approaches because of cost (real amp/Torpedo) or volume concerns (Line6 HD500/DT25).alteregoxxx wrote: So, as i have already said, it's not a "tube thing"; the feel, the "thump", you perceive has a lot to do with the "loudness" involved...play your tube amp in a room and listen to that beautiful, big sound, than try to mic it and recording it, then listen to the recording: it will be a loooooooooooooooot different from the "live" sound....small, so small compared to live sound...no?
Mic'ed amp sound is a TOTALLY different thing than "live" amp sound...don't get fooled ignoring this fact...
So for me the Kemper gets it as close to "natural" as I need. The most "natural" software amp sims I thought are Amplitube and S-Gear.
