Trackton uses tabs very well. What about adding an editor tab along the top. any edit thats highlighted will show up on the edit screen expanded. It will also give alot of space for other tools. If multiple edits are selected they could appear down the side to be edited. This could also work with audio. A bit like a "super zoom"
