The rumors are very reliable. They've been around since before the announcement of Bitwig, so any year now.
At least the Z3ta+ 2.1 update came quite fast. I remember that people were upset because they removed the microtuning feature in Z3ta+ 2.0, but then they added it again, fortunately!

And BTW, Z3ta+ 2 is much better than Z3ta+...

Nothing is impossible, even if Cakewalk doesn't update their software so often like the Cockos REAPER guys...

One thing I'm wondering with DimPro:

it seems to be able to load WAV files, read: wavetable, but unfortunately only single cycle OSC's in this case.

Can this be evaded?
If so, I might get a use out of (if I can find a backup) old SF2's from HGFortune.

Else, I'd only get DimPro to get back my Proteus Racks in digital form. Kontakt good and fine, but it lacks the modulation, the arp, the routing.

Then again... both Dimension Pro and Rapture are dated. And the rumors of v2's are pretty old. Zeta2 happened, but that's no guarantee to get v2's of DimPro and Rapture.

Digital sounding or not, with nowadays "overproduced" sounds, this might just be the thing. Which is the very reason why I still keep my Yamaha MU15 as bread and butter synth.

Just shhhh, don't tell Cakewalk. ;)
You can install it on more than one computer, so long as you aren't using them at the same time.

ie. you could install on your laptop and desktop since you wouldn't be using them simultaneously. But the license would not allow you to run all the workstations in a class off the one copy.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Another recommendation here to installing the free Muz3um bank for Rapture.. :)

I was going to mention that sfZed http://audio.clockbeat.com/sfZed.html a very old sfz editor that never got out of beta, would convert sf2 to sfz but it is a Windows only utility. There is link to another page that discusses some PERL scripts to also covert sf2 to sfz which might be of interest.

I think the point is that you don't take it to your friend, and install it on his computer, speak distribute the software... i don't think it's big of an issue when you install it on several of your own computers.

here's a quick hack job I did. It's not perfect, haven't even added the Rapture logo yet but maybe someone else can perfect it, but I find it much more useable

Very nice!
software is a tool that allows us to complete a given task.
social media is full of tools that distract us from a given task.

So, can I use custom (custom length) WAV samples as OSC with DimPro now or not? Or are they really limited to one cycle and they need to be converted to SFZ first?

I bought Dimension Pro, I might spring for Rapture as well.

Does anyone know anything about these expansions for Dimension Pro?
