For all others, we're mostly done...we can't wait to release it. :)
I'm not a paying customer, So I don't have a Dog in this fight, but if copy protection is the reason for the excessive delay of this product release, then I suggest you speak with Urs Heckman of U-HE, He seems to know how to script time bombs into his code without bloating them. No drama's, no complex performance destroying code, and respected from all sides for it.

Just a suggestion... Good luck with the focus on Hackers and not your customers tho... I'm sure it will pay off

Cheers... V.

delayed by copy protection now...

and not cared or bothered with a osx 64bit update until now due to piracy/warez until the big trance names made a fuss on twitter..

not sure where the priorities are these days, but it's certainly not with pleasing customers lol

Post

I never said the delay is caused by the copy protection, I said we're mostly done and we're working on the protection.

Haha...you people tend to filter all news until it's negative ;)

What news?

Post

just having fun Ruben.. always seems to always be a reason for everything..

copy protection, piracy/warez, tools that Lennard used to develop it being dropped, being surprised by the dropping of the development tools to the point it takes this long to re-code it all after big trance guys tried to start a kickstarter fund..

when LD starts delivering, whatever year that may be when it happens, I'm sure you'll find more positive posts than negative.. but as it stands, we'd all be dead if we relied on an update from Lennard in the same way we need food to live. :) teehee

Post

So will it be a different form of copy protection on Mac only? I currently have 32 installed on OSX using the keyfile, will I need to reinstall this with the update?

Post

The keyfile will automatically be installed in the new version, the protection will be completely different, on all future versions.

@Kriminal - I guess you're actually right :)

@cotdagoo - Hehe... I'll make sure Lennard won't be moving into the food-sector anytime soon.

Sylenth1 v3, coming to you in 2050

Hi guys,

Long time listener, first time caller.

Sylenth in my opinion was ahead of the game and has only recently been caught up with by Spire and Serum.

Think of your favourite synths I bet sylenth is one of your top 3.

If Logic and other DAW's still supported 32bit then I don't believe people would be so determined with the update. It may not have even crossed their mind.

Sylenth to me is amazing I use it all the time. I usually know which synth to get by which company's make the presets for them.

The most up to date presets being made for Sylenth are not that much different sounding from other new synths. So that makes me think why does it need to be updated if it's keeping up with the new boys (except the 64bit problem).

In my experience when things are rushed you run into all sorts of problems. Look at apple they are constantly fixing problems with their new products and the last thing we want is crashing DAW's due to problems with synths. So take your time Sylenth and make it an update to last.

That's my 2 cents and just one mans opinion.

I wished more people would have that attitude nowadays... i can partly understand where the frustration is coming from though, having waited so long for the 64-bit AU. But then, it'll come, and people should be grateful about it.

The most up-to-date presets do all sound much alike anyway.

As for the update, we simply have an obligation to our customers to provide them with updates and make sure Sylenth1 will remain the primary choise of many producers. As I've said before, we also want this update to be finished, because we're eager to unleash it. We're curious for all reactions and we hope it's up to everyone's expectations. Lennard however, is an absolute perfectionist so we're indeed taking the time we need to create a complete new and much improved version of Sylenth1.

And for the complaints on all delays and the fact the update is not released yet, we understand. We do receive a lot of mails with the request for a release date, questions about the changes and a lot of angry mails somehow demanding us to hurry up and release it asap. Well, we receive them and we answer them, that's all we can do. We can't exactly release it without being done ;)

So these email don't exactly help anyone, it's a way for a customer (in many cases) to vent the discomfort their experiencing, but it's not really constructive.

I'll make sure to post a new Teaser online soon... :D
