Needless to say, I'd recommend lowering the engine buffer size to Normal/Small when bouncing to disk (Large should be OK when tracking/mixing) This increases the render resolution for envelopes/LFOS/etc so you get better timing with them! I'll post some samples tonight.

any chance for differente settings for tracking/bouncing? some other synths offer thiskv331 wrote:Needless to say, I'd recommend lowering the engine buffer size to Normal/Small when bouncing to disk (Large should be OK when tracking/mixing) This increases the render resolution for envelopes/LFOS/etc so you get better timing with them! So far I couldn't find a way to do that...

After this, another important feature implementation is on the way: MIDI Channel rotation/polyphonic pitchbend used in synths like ROLI Seaboard, Keith McMillen QueNexus or guitar synths which output a different MIDI channel for each string. This is gonna be an exciting feature to show off at NAMM 2016!

For reference I know Diva has such an option for bouncing/offline rendering. I believe the D16 products do too. I feel like Urs of u-he may be willing to help out if you're unsure how to detect it, I doubt it's any sort of Diva specialitykv331 wrote:If I could detect that yeah I'd add that ?

Ok so I have the following rendered file which demonstrates the new envelopes, there's no filter:
sample 1
Attack is at minimum, and then there's a sudden decay, sustain is set to a low level. Decay is modulated by a global LFO.
I wonder if this might be called snappy ?

If I read the VST documentation correctly, there's an optional VST feature that hosts can choose to implement. There's a query in the VST spec that responds with a yes/no when asked if offline. The documentation makes it sound like it's to be used when wanting to process external files during normal VST operation, but it would make sense to use it to indicate that a rendering operation happening. Might be worth a little more research.KingTuck wrote:For reference I know Diva has such an option for bouncing/offline rendering. I believe the D16 products do too. oh wow, didn't notice that so far!
getCurrentProcessLevel should do the trick, at least for hosts that do support it!
So what I'm gonna do is: engine quality and engine buffer size have 2 settings:
1) for realtime
2) for offline (render)
So, in v2.8 we're adding support for that as well!

Great to hear that! Here's the 2nd example, this time the delay amount is modulated continuously and also the arp swing is modulated by the same LFO:Igro wrote:Sounds snappy! Could you increase the decay gradually in another example? Thank you!
