Banks are stored where you wish, upon clicking on "Save" you can choose whatever directory and file name...

Presets alone cannot be exported to file, they can be exported only within a Bank.
Please note that the "Store" function on the presets, acts in RAM only, data is not persisted to disk unless you export the Bank on file (it's explained in the manual).

I haven't used it much so far, but it seems like a great plugin. Great GUI and usability, fun!
It should be noted that - although it's a freeware plugin - there's a donate button on the home page and I hope it will get some use :)

What I don't understand is the mono/stereo switch, shouldn't the plugin detect whether it is on a mono or stereo channel? Don't plugins usually do that?

That would be a great addition indeed.

But first of all: Thanks a lot for this great freebie. Highly appreciated!

Ahh thanks for that! I hadn't looked in the manual (well, not about the presets anyway)

I had noticed that the presets weren't saved at all, when I went back in to SONAR. I'll just save a few in a bank then.
Thanks again for a great plugin!!

Doesn't show in Cubase 8.5.1 and crashes plugin manager when scanning, also vst crashes Studio One 2.6 at startup.

I seize the moment to explain a bit better (hopefully) how the preset management system works with the DAW.
The "state" of the plug-in is not represented by the settings of the current preset, but by the whole bank.
This means that every time you add/edit/remove a preset, the bank is saved by the DAW, so that when you save a project, exit and reload it, the whole bank is reloaded (even if it was never persisted on disk using the "Save" function!) and the preset that was active when you saved the project for the last time is recalled.
To put it short, if you add a preset inside a project session, you don't have to worry about saving it on disk before closing the project, as it will still be there upon reload. The only things that will be lost are the "Revert" function and the clipboard settings (the "Copy" function).
Obviously, if you create a new project and load a new instance of PTEq-X, it will initialize with the default bank. When you need to copy settings between a project and another, you need to save and load the bank explicitly.
Hope it helps!

Strange, I've already tested it successfully on Cubase 8.5 on both Mac and PC and on Studio One (PC only, so far)... what OS are you using? If you're on Windows, did you make sure to pick the right plug-in version in accordance with your DAW format (ex. DAW 64 bit, plug-in 64 bit, etc.)? Make also sure to NOT copy BOTH x64 and x86 versions into any of your VST folders.

It's a little different than any other plugin I have, so I wasn't sure what was going on

Anyway - it makes perfect sense now.
(not that presets are that important with this plugin - they really only save a few clicks)

This information is completely useless if you don't specify your OS, DAW format and plug-in format (x86/x64).
(since our main tester has been using it on Cubase 5 on Windows since day 1, it may be related to some particular system configuration)

I've already made full report on ignite fb site, so I'm just nagging aloud again here.

It's cubase 5 winxp32, but the weird thing is plugin itself works flawlessy (inside vst analyzer) it just doesn't get scaned inside cubase.First plugin ever that does that.

Without an XP machine at my disposal, it's gonna be hard to replicate it...
Did you try to force the plug-in rescan on Cubase? Did you try other hosts as well? An user has reported that v1.0.2 works fine in Windows XP with Reaper, so the problem seems to be the host and not the OS (in fact it load in VST Analyzer). Stupid question, but... is it possible that you accidentally also copied the x64 version in one of the scanned VST folders?

Post

Yes, v1.0.2 works fine in Win XP & Win 7 32 with Reaper. Also works fine in Cubase SX Win 7 32.
True Cubase SX Win XP just saw doesn't show up. Sorry.
