They only do maintenance updates and there isn't any active development like with Maschine. So Battery 4 is on life support. There's newer more forward thinking stuff like XO and Algonaut Atlus that show how Battery is still stuck in 2013.

I'm seriously thinking about all the library mangers out there. Thinking about using Battery or whatever built in drum Sampler a DAW has again for most things, done with Maschine and MPC etc. Sononym looks really good to me. XO a close second.

Well, I was talking within the NI ecosystem. I can highly recommend Repro5 though. Its fabulous.

I shoulda thrown a wink or laugh emoji in there. Wasn't being too serious. Still, a Pro-53 update seems way less vital with RePro-5 out if you don't take the ecosystem into account.

Don't let the fear control you. You don't know how much you are limiting yourself. Also you can always bounce what you have made with fm8 or even sample with few clicks if you have FL studio.
