This synth was working fine and is amazing Wags. I have no regret buying it and support were super quick yesterday.wagtunes wrote:And that's why I don't want to buy this thing without a demo.simmo75 wrote:I just updated the new version and just get hard crashes now, anyone else have this issue?
Mac os Sierra, Ableton Live 9 & 10, Bitwig 2 and Cubase 9.5 all hard crash as soon as I try to open Infinite Pro.
Really, who puts out a synth, makes a time sensitive offer good for about a week, doesn't have a demo you can try to see if it works and doesn't offer refunds?
Looks like this is a synth I'm going to be doing without.
I'm sorry but this is not the way to do business and earn the trust of your customers.
Very odd as It shows as version 1.0 not 1.01.. Hopefully support will get back to me soon.

I uninstalled the update and re-installed 1.0 and that works fine.
I tried installing the update again and it crashes every time, can't even open it.
Very strange.

Who? Wolfgang Palm does. When a company releases a product with a bunch of terms and conditions that I don't like, I don't buy the product. It's more effective than whining about it on forums. Well, I have to retract that a bit: I have done my share of whining about T&C's but I've stopped doing that. I just don't buy it and I let them know I am not buying it and why. That's the only way they will make a change. And if the T&C's don't meet your expectations then you are better off without the product anyway. If I were you, I'd email WP and let them know why you aren't buying it so they know and can concider changing their T&Cs.wagtunes wrote:Really, who puts out a synth, makes a time sensitive offer good for about a week, doesn't have a demo you can try to see if it works and doesn't offer refunds?

I never wrote that, just want to clarify! Not cool Plexuss! Why are you editing what I wrote to make it look like i'm bitching about this product???

I'm sure it's not deliberate, looks just like your quote marks got copied into Wag's quote

Relax Simmo. Everybody knows I'm the king whiner around here.simmo75 wrote:plexuss wrote:Who? Wolfgang Palm does. Plexus, I know. It's just the synth looks so absolutely amazing I'd hate to have to pass on it because of being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Sure, I can wait until the demo is available but then I'm going to be paying $30 more.

It's an ok synth. But it's not ultra-astounding, as in, stop everything and get it no matter what. It also suffers from the usual Wolfgang Palm virtual synth bad usability. But it's workable. If you don't end up with it, it's not a major loss IMHO. Keep in mind I generally have a pragmatic view of music software and don't get all fanboi about anything. And it would serve WP right if you didn't buy it because I agree with you: no demo, no refund, no license transfer are all grounds for no purchase. I decided to go for it becuase, for the same reasons, I didn't buy the two Wave synths. Phonem was enough. I'll concede to Infinite, just because. Calm the GAS down. It's just a synth from a company with wonky T&Cs.wagtunes wrote: Plexus, I know. @simmo75 Take a chill pill dude.

I’m thinking maybe PPG doesn’t do support on a Friday...
I’ve tried several times uninstalling and still crashes upon trying to open. I’ve used all my available downloads now. Balls!

Hey. what platform are you on? I am on a mac/Logic/AU. One thing I noticed is that I have to completely uninstall Infinite and then re-install in order to get it to work. For me this just means trashing Infinite.component and re-installing. But installing over the AU doesn't usually work for me.simmo75 wrote:I’m thinking maybe PPG doesn’t do support on a Friday...

Well I am pretty sure the installer is ok so that's probably not your issue. At this point it looks like you'll need help from WP. Hopefully they get back to you asap! They are usually pretty responsive to customers.simmo75 wrote:Hey man, i'm on mac too, i'll try that and report back.plexuss wrote:Hey. what platform are you on? I am on a mac/Logic/AU.
