Wow...I actually assumed that you would be able to immediately, Never crossed my mind that you'd be limited to stock wave-tables...I mean, considering I own Serum and Falcon this was the one thing I did not really need but still...This actually makes the New Synth much harder to get excited about.batcat wrote:Definitely can’t import Wavetables yet. That sucks. Whose idea is that?
(Probably their way of selling expansion packs, grumble grumble)

Appears I was wrong and it actually works as you described:antic604 wrote:Pretty sure it's not. That wouldn't be fair to those who have 9 Suite already and have to pay EUR199 for the upgrade to 10.mutantdog wrote:It seems that the upgrade price from 9 Standard to Suite is currently only slightly more expensive than the upgrade price for 10 standard will be. https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001527384I own Live 9 Standard. Can I pre-order Live 10 Standard?
The pre-order offer is only available to owners of Live 9 Suite, and you can only pre-order Live 10 Suite, not Standard. It’ll be possible to upgrade to Live 10 Standard at release at the regular discounted upgrade price.
Alternatively, if you upgrade from Live 9 Standard to Live 9 Suite during the Sellout campaign, you will automatically receive a free upgrade to Live 10 Suite at release.

Did they say “yet”? I also wonder if it’s just a folder somewhere on my computer.batcat wrote:Definitely can’t import Wavetables yet. I tried to and asked the guys at the demo today.

I think the exact language was ‘currently’ you can’t. The Wavetable in use displays on push which may have something to do with it.dangayle wrote:Did they say “yet”? The eq looks great on push as well.

Once again, these are the prices showing in my account (I own 9 Standard and Push 1)...antic604 wrote:Pretty sure it's not. Notice the bit about the free upgrade on the 20% off Suite 9 price.
Since someone else has started a thread about the upgrade price, i think its best to continue that discussion there.

it's 300 dollars for the Suite Upgrade, and the Suite is what has all the new stuff.... 200 doesn't get you anything, really.rod_zero wrote:You are not only getting this updates, with 9 we goth 9.5 for free. 4 years of updates for 200 doesn't seem that steep ( if it remains the way it has been the last two versions).
Many other DAWs are on anual updates cycles (cubase, reason, bitwig, protools), I think only logic has long cycles with the small ones being free.
Granted, right now there is the discount, so it's 239 for Live 9 Suite users. I guess you are rounding down?
In any case, a standard upgrade price of 300 dollars is A LOT by any measure....

The display on Push 2 can display anything it's told to display over USB so that's unlikely to be the reason.batcat wrote:I think the exact language was ‘currently’ you can’t. That's true, actually in some ways 9.5 felt bigger! Push2 was a huge step up, Simpler is great, Cytomic filters integrated etc. That was a happy dayrod_zero wrote:You are not only getting this updates, with 9 we goth 9.5 for free. 4 years of updates for 200 doesn't seem that steep ( if it remains the way it has been the last two versions).

And kudos to them for not holding back big features to beef up a major release.

The multi-clip editing also looks less capable than what is in Bitwig. The new Live function looks like you can only select clips in arrange. In Bitwig, you can lock clips so that you can see them overlaid but only edit what you want. Also, show/hide is there. Unless those functions are there but were not visible in the video, it is still a step below Bitwig's multi-clip editing.antic604 wrote:None of those is in. What's more disappointing, multi-clip editing is only for MIDI, whereas in Bitwig you can also do that with audio, which is a great workaround for comping.simmo75 wrote:Do they mention MPE support and audio comping?
The workflow improvements for editing clips looks like a significant improvement for Live. Live has always sucked for editing audio that way. If I were still using Live, that would make me upgrade right there.
Also, good to see the M4L integration. Ableton claims reduced CPU use, more reliability and no need for separate installs. Were I still using Live as my main DAW, I would upgrade for sure. But since there will still be no MPE support, Live is off the table as a possibility for me.
Ohh... No user wavetable import means I would not use the new wavetable synth.
My listed upgrade price when I logged in (Suite 9 to Suite 10) is $240

I'm not getting the pricing at all. As a current owner of Suite 9 I have upgrade pricing of AU$319 to Live 10 Standard!!!and AU$335 to Live 10 Suite. Why would I pay $319 to "upgrade" from a suite license to a standard license when most of the new features are suite only?

M4L is cancer. It increases the price of "full" basic feature package because of the license. Most people don't even touch the surface of its programming side. Just bundle M4L player.

Seeing $291usd to go from Standard 9 to Suite 10.
I currently don’t have the option to go to 9 standard to 10 standard.
Decisions decisions.... don’t really want the suite sound packs.
