Yeah I don't like the swiper either. But I presume it could be assigned to a knob or fader on your midi controller?
Tbh I think a regular knob or fader would wear out before this did.

In all the latest versions of Arturia's plug-ins, you can change any of the tags (or even add your own), but I honestly haven't tried saving over a preset. I usually just make my own version of it, add a few notes about what I changed from the original, change/add any appropriate tags and save it as a new preset. This also allows me to go back to the unaltered original, in case it's inspiring enough to tweak again in a slightly new direction...to save as another preset.GuyaGuy wrote: Fri Aug 11, 2023 5:00 am Is there a way to edit a saved preset's metadata, for example the tags and name? Or do I just have to Save As and delete the old one?
IIRC, the one time I tried to save over an original preset, it put my version into the "User" bank anyway, so there was no point in trying to save over the originals after that. They may have changed that, though.

i think they're asking if it's possible to edit the meta data of a saved preset after you've already saved it. if there is, i couldn't find it. even in the user presets.planetearth wrote: Fri Aug 11, 2023 6:17 pmIn all the latest versions of Arturia's plug-ins, you can change any of the tags (or even add your own), but I honestly haven't tried saving over a preset. what you have to do is "Save As" then edit the data then don't change the name.. then hit save and it'll ask if you if you want to over write the preset.

Yep I mostly was wondering about editing metadata on my own saved presets, not the factory ones. The Save As workflow isn’t horrible but it does mean I have to remember to go back and delete the original.dayjob wrote: Fri Aug 11, 2023 6:31 pmi think they're asking if it's possible to edit the meta data of a saved preset after you've already saved it. if there is, i couldn't find it. even in the user presets.planetearth wrote: Fri Aug 11, 2023 6:17 pmIn all the latest versions of Arturia's plug-ins, you can change any of the tags (or even add your own), but I honestly haven't tried saving over a preset. you don't have to delete the original.. save as.. but then don't change the name from the original and you can over write the preset w/the new meta dataGuyaGuy wrote: Fri Aug 11, 2023 7:09 pmYep I mostly was wondering about editing metadata on my own saved presets, not the factory ones. Ah i get it. Didn’t know Save As with the same name works. Yes, there is a way to change/edita metadata for your presets, without having to use Save As. If you click the Library button, and select one of your own banks (user banks), you will open the browser window. This window has three sections. The left one is to classify the presets by attributing color labels to them. The center section has the preset list, with three columns: Name, Type and Designer/Bank. The right section displays the name of the highlighted preset, woth three dots at the right. These three dots mark the location of the Save sub-menuGuyaGuy wrote: Fri Aug 11, 2023 7:09 pmYep I mostly was wondering about editing metadata on my own saved presets, not the factory ones. Below this, you have the metadata of the highlighted preset. You can edit the name, the Type and the Bank (this way, you can change the bank the current preset is included on). You also have the possibility to add tags. Usually, my presets already have a couple of tags, but this way I can add more, if I want.
Once you finish editing the metadata, click the three dots, and choose "Save" (noi need to choose "Save As". The preset will be saved with the changes you made. You also have the option to "Save As" and another option to delete the preset.

Oh nice, thanks! That's what I was expecting to find--just not over there! You can click into the name there to edit it too.fmr wrote: Fri Aug 11, 2023 9:41 pmYes, there is a way to change/edita metadata for your presets, without having to use Save As. And it seems to auto-save edits too so you don't even have to click Save--but only if you edit the name, type and bank. If you edit the style tags it only auto-saves if you're in the Edit Style menu after clicking +, but not if you edit tags from right panel.
Anyhow thanks again!

Ableton Live users: Is there a way to send Synclavier a Program Change?
If so I need to name a bank "1"? "01"? I've tried variations but not having any luck.
