Two in my account, none activated. Downloaded fine yesterday but apparently it was a demo (without being obvious about it, other than throwing errors on shutdown).
I can get to the website fine now but ASC is having issues. I was going to do offline activation, but in the middle of that process ASC decided it was synchronizing licenses. For 10 minutes. And then it showed me an Activate button I could press... only to go back to Synchronizing for... some amount of time and then failing. And then logging me out again
Oh, now it's bouncing back and forth every few minutes between the "Synchronization" thing and telling me it's activating the plugin. I guess I'll just let it keep running until something actually happens?

With a meta/macro host like MUX, Bitwig, KV_Element, etc... you can get a knob for it. In VST though, there's no easier way from what I can tell.
Still waiting on my activation too, but I'm not going to complain about a freebie. I'm sure their servers are hammered right now.
It's actually a surprisingly good plate emulation. I'll have to make some videos on it once I can get it activated

yes, exactly the same behaviour here
finally, after 3 hours, it said activated but began bouncing again...
in logic i could open revPlate but it said it needed to be activated (????)
i was considering buying Pigments, but with this ASC unsecuity.....

I was speaking of the plugin and the Software Center being worth it.Butwug wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2019 8:32 pmHe was asking if it is worth downloading the Arturia Software Center, not the plugin.Russell Grand wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2019 8:24 pmI disagree. A stable (on my machine), high quality reverb for $0? Totally worth it.Butwug wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2019 7:44 pm Finally managed to download it. Installed it. Took 3 minutes to load. Another 5 to input name an password as it would freeze after 2 or 3 letters. Took a couple more minutes to reach servers and get out of demo mode. Loaded it, crashed my DAW, then gave error about not being able to save the state of the plugin. I was sort of stoked for this freebie but I’m not sure I can trust this plugin on projects.

Really cool plugin soundwise, but I'm not a fan of the cheap home made chipboard instrument panel design. Would have preferred some additional alternate and more polished skins to pick from.

just finished playing around with this. i think it sounds better than the NI Raum. Just my opinion.

I got them both too. After just a quick run through both of them, I was drawn more towards Raum.
Just a first impression though, and not a solid decision.
But hey - they were both free - merry x-mas.

It’s still early days but I think they’re very different. RAUM is better for creative sound design and making huge soundscapes. It’s maybe closer to a Strymon BigSky or Eventide Blackhole. And this is better for any source you’d traditionally use a plate reverb such as on snares. The drive control on it just sounds insane when used on drums.telecode wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 3:05 am just finished playing around with this. i think it sounds better than the NI Raum. I think we shouldn't choose between both because they're different to begin with:felis wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 3:48 amtelecode wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 3:05 am just finished playing around with this. i think it sounds better than the NI Raum. Just my opinion.

Raum is for digital and big spaces.
Plate-140 is for more organic and saturated sounds.

The way it’s worded makes Arturia Software Center the subject of it being worth it or not. That sentence is a compound sentence with “Registered it (the plugin) to my account” being an independent clause and “but is it worth downloading and messing around with Arturia Software Center or whatever it is called?” being the other independent clause. If you say “it” in “but is [it] worth downloading” means the plugin, then that means “but is it worth downloading” is dependent on “registered it to my account.” This leaves “messing around with Arturia Software Center or whatever it is called?” by itself which is a sentence fragment. This lead me to assume that a proper sentence was written and you meant the arturia center software being worth it. But I was wrong to assume and speak on your behalf I suppose.Russell Grand wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 2:03 amI was speaking of the plugin and the Software Center being worth it.Butwug wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2019 8:32 pmHe was asking if it is worth downloading the Arturia Software Center, not the plugin.Russell Grand wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2019 8:24 pmI disagree. With that said, I wonder if me downloading the vst and activating it without ASC had anything to do with it being glitchy. From what Ive read here you guys say you need to download ASC but I just downloaded the reverb vst from my profile and used installer. Once reverb plug loaded on DAW, logged in from vst when it finally opened, which also took forever to load, then crashed DAW. To be honest I wasnt paying much attention to what the hell was going on. Every web page took minutes to load so kept working on a project.

I let it sit there for 4 hours while it tried to activate and it looked like it still didn't do it... just killed ASC and restarted it and it immediately said it activated. And the plugin works fine now.
