"Note: This only works with the ready-made ‘shapes’, and any edits made before switching back to 128 values will not be repeated."
Repeat user pattern might be good feature suggestion.

Well Howard your teaser PDF worked for me as did Beatzille bring me to Bazille.
Is there a way for a user to make presets NKS ready?
Are there plans to implement NKS in the future?

We'll surely add NKS support at some point, but as you can imagine, setting up macro controls for each preset is going to be a crazy task.

Yeah that would be a bit pointless with Bazille. But the taging system and browser for presets would be great to have.
On a side note....I have the latest Zebra 2 Demo installed. There are a handful of NKS presets......I don't notice those presets injecting the random notes as the demo would do.
Is this another marketing technique? If so.....it's quite brilliant.

I'm having some patch browser issues when GearPorn is active on Apple Silicon. For folders without the scroll bar, there's a patch name that's mostly off-screen and illegible. "Keys" and "Pads" are fine, "Wobblers" and "Chords" are not (as some random examples; there are more than these with issues). Let me know if you need more info!

Screen print, screen resolution, DAW, plugin type, and plugin build # seem like type of things that would help support narrow things down. Just a suggestion.neuromod wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 2:00 am I'm having some patch browser issues when GearPorn is active on Apple Silicon. That was a quirk of the current public beta, we already fixed that internally.neuromod wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 2:00 am I'm having some patch browser issues when GearPorn is active on Apple Silicon. For folders without the scroll bar, there's a patch name that's mostly off-screen and illegible.
Will be gone with the next beta.

I'm thinking of having the cookbook printed. Just a small batch, as paper has the disadvantage of not supporting clickable/tappable links. Yet

I created a NKS template for Bazille years ago that was used in collaboration with some fellow members of the NI User Forum to generate complete NKS presets for the factory and competition patches, including previews. Not perfect, as I know Urs would prefer per patch customised macros and detailed tagging, whereas these all use the same template and tagging is a bit basic, but it's better than nothing, and at least it makes them browsable using NI hardware. Sorely tempted and LOVING IT
Thanks Howard and team — I'm very happy I finally pulled the trigger on the Bazille Cookbook, sitting in my cart after checking out Scrubbing Monkeys video preview a few times
Just skimming the surface of the PDF was far more entertaining and useful to me than the famous Fred Welsh Cookbook, though that one is probably worth another look too. First impressions now that I finally loaded the set have already been even better than I'd expected. Must admit I'm quite surprised at the simplicity of patching behind some of these incredible HS sounds.
Is there already a soundset for HIVE from you that serves a similar approach like a Hive Cookbook or one in the works? TBH I don't buy many sound sets at all *ever* but I love this very educational approach. I know there are more videos on Hive but a dedicated soundset / book combo from you would be most welcome. Now I've seen how great this one is I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Howard wrote: Mon Dec 14, 2020 5:35 pm It's the actual Cookbook. People who read The Bazille Cookbook PDF without having access to the corresponding presets will be sorely tempted. That's the plan, anyway... let's see!

Sorely tempted, really, so I bought the presets. Together with the book, they are an excellent learning resource. Totally worth it.
