But will that include the piano roll as well or is the scaling just for the rack?antic604 wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 10:59 am GUI scaling is coming in v12, but only because Reason Rack Plugin also needs it...

Is this the first time that a major release for a DAW has had a headline feature of 'better graphics' and people have been thrilled!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I remember it being quite similar when Image-Line released FL Studio 12.SLiC wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 7:17 pm Is this the first time that a major release for a DAW has had a headline feature of 'better graphics' and people have been thrilled!

I guess in this case for many people (like me) on 4K we had just given up on Reason so this is a big deal! It's not so much about eye candy (although there is nothing wrong with that) but actually being able to use it without squinting!

If they really keep ignoring that fundamental part of their user-base karma will get them eventually, I don't doubt that - and then you won't see me weeping at their grave either.

Exactly. In 2019 I was close to abandon Reason. With RRP I'm in the boat again, use my RE's on a regular basis and enjoy my switch to a new DAW. And I'm willing to spend money on RE's and upgrades. So RS did everything right.antic604 wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 9:48 pmNot if RPP users will outnumber and/or out-$ themjens wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 9:35 pm If they really keep ignoring that fundamental part of their user-base karma will get them eventually, I don't doubt that - and then you won't see me weeping at their grave either.![]()

I was tempted to upgrade my intro license and buy Reason for the .... nth time! But is the protection still either installing Codemeter or login every time you to use?
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Yes, sadly. Only reason why I dont use the plugin is I have to login every single time. Would be nice, if you would need to login like every 30 days or something.EnGee wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 6:37 am I was tempted to upgrade my intro license and buy Reason for the .... nth time! Well, RIGHT for you and some others, but not for everyone. I got Reason 10 in 2017 because I actually liked the DAW a lot - the sequencer, despite being a bit on the 'outdated' side has some super cool stuff, like automation clips, novel (for me, at the time) stretching of MIDI & audio clips right on the timeline, blocks mode, pattern lane/clips, multiple MIDI lanes, built-in pitch correction, etc. I also fell in love with the "SSL" mixer, too. The Rack was just a cherry on top that sealed the deal.Crossinger wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 5:56 amExactly. In 2019 I was close to abandon Reason. There's many more people like me, who are not happy with RS slowly but surely abandoning the DAW portion
But probably not enough anymore...

Err? You only have to login if you're subscribing, rent-to-owning or demoing something (and for Reason+, obviously). For normal use it's just like any other DAW.keel wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 6:40 amYes, sadly. Only reason why I dont use the plugin is I have to login every single time. Yes, I agree. And I also see the complaints over there at ReasonTalk. By no means I make fun of those who expected "more" from Reason as DAW. I've also waited some years for improvements until I realized that this will probably never come. The rule "always buy for what it is, never for what you expect it to become" applies again.antic604 wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 6:51 am There's many more people like me, who are not happy with RS slowly but surely abandoning the DAW portion![]()
