robin hood didn't give a f**k what people thought of him.
he gave up a knighthood to fight for the poor.
he also didn't exist.

Little Brian Adam from the northerly colony? Was No.1 for a geological epoch? Surely you must.

Well, when I got myself into music school the first go-round, I cared what people thought because chances were rather high they knew more than I, had vastly more to draw from and were in fact there to_judge.
Playing for yer grade at the end of the school year is called 'jury', in fact.
My jury the one time (Applied Music, IE., instrumental performance major) was one Henry Meyer, second violin of La Salle Quartet, a genuine legend.
Yeah, his opinion was sehr valid. I suppose getting an A grade in this case is validating, given he had a rep for not really buying guitar as a way to be.
as to caring about opinions as to what I write, the first things other than little guitar pieces happened in Lab there.
Alden Jenks, the putative professor of that (another legend I had the privilege of encountering) said exactly one thing to me (after the first rubbish experiments):
"Lot of energy here. Subtract from it."
Which is absolutely the most important thing anybody ever said to me regarding the process.

i wouldn't mind my music (if i ever have ones i' m satisfied with) to end up in people's music collection.
not just any people though... but people whose music collection is similar to mine.
