[*]Fixed a recent new bug in the VST2 engine.
Hi, I'm happy to report the VSTs that didn't work with 9.2.7 are working fine with 9.2.8. Thanks!

Thank you Robert!

Now that you've been monkeying with VST in v9, the plugins in v8 on my test machine have been acting very strangely!

I've been having issues with Omnisphere in v9 again after their latest update, which is nothing new. Instantiate Omni and it takes Mulab with it. This seems to be a common regression. I'm hoping when the latest v9 comes out for Mac, this issue will be looking gone.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

M1 is still a baby and it may take time for it to grow up :D

P.S. Omnisphere works great with Mu9 on my (old and slow;) PC :D

Which precise MuLab version crashes upon inserting Omnisphere and
which MuLab version does not crash with that same Omnisphere?

And which version of Omnisphere are you using?

Do you have any other major VST2s that act wrong with the MuLab 9.2.8 beta?
which is nothing new.
What do you mean with this ?

I guess he meant "it's nothing new with Spectrasonics". If Omnisphere works - don't update it;)

From the error report, it seems to be a bug in creating the GUI window and it's happening on both Rosetta and M1. It's on Omni's side since it comes and goes with their updates. I remember with one update, the GUI was shifted a godly number of pixels to the right and the dreaded orange that Jo used to back the parent window showed through. I reported it with screen cap and explanation to Spectrasonics and they wanted me to help them troubleshoot. I was like, nah, man, it's you, not me.

Sure, why worry about the GUI if the sound is good :D

I could use the generic GUI, but then I'd need a dozen or so 5K monitors to view it all.

Ok v9.2.8.
Now the sidechain is working for me even when I lower the volume of the Kick or Mute it.
Awesome! Thank you, Jo. :D

At least with the actual GUI, I stand a chance of finding the parameter I need!

Update: BlueARP 2.3.9 VST doesn't pass CCs, Modwheel and Pitchbend any more - unfortunately this plugin is placed at the end of MIDI chain in ALL my presets. Please investigate - meanwhile I'm back to 9.1.28

MuLab App 9.2.9 is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html

MuLab Plugin 9.2.9 is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/la ... /beta.html

What's new:
  • Dropping a parameter on an empty sub-track header now also auto creates an empty automation clip for that parameter. (alike dropping a parameter on the [+] track button)
  • Fixed a bug that could block a VST2 plugin's output events.
  • More stack usage optimizations.
  • Also M9.2 App & Plugin for MacOS and Windows 32 bit are available now.

Thank you, that fixed the issue! Also, there is no more errors logged on my system on plugin shutdown (there were some in 9.2.8.)
