did not see this thread. loving audio demos.Sampleconstruct wrote:There is actually a dedicated Codex vs Serum thread here, so all those comparison-posts could go in there, no? Just saying before the typical KVR warflame-discussion-style takes over in this thread (not addressed at anyone in particular).

You need Audioterm to save it in the Dune 2 wavetable format.mysticvibes wrote:Is it possible to save a wavetable in serum and load it in dune dune 2? I saved a wavetable but it was only a wave file and dune loads .wt files?
Was wondering about this as well.mysticvibes wrote: Also, is there a multi-thread cpu feature in serum that I'm missing? Hope soIs cpu management planned for future updates?
Think that was a one day thing, far as I can tell, haven't been able to match that in the current world. Let me know if you find it.SLiC wrote:Hmmmm, people seem to be picking up Codex for about 50 bucks (over at the Codex Vs Serum thread)
That's really nice... The vox sound cool. Be sweet for a film score or video game.PatchAdamz wrote:I made a number of vocal patches for Serum, a few different voices and several patches.
The goal was to make the singers be lyrical, with fluent movement.
These use a number of controllers, both automatic and manual.
All the presets are from, "Concentrated" and the additional free add-on.
(minus the drums and violin.)

Like this demo. Drums and Violin are not Serum?PatchAdamz wrote:All the presets are from, "Concentrated" and the additional free add-on.

I wouldn't recommend Audio-Term as conversion tool. It's an additive generator for Komplexer and limited to that special wavetable model. I implemented all other formats only for people who like this old-fashioned toy, but have no Komplexer. Using AT for conversion would reduce the tables so that they become a kind of 'aliased'. If someone wants to try this anyway, I recommend to put loop data on the Serum table (from sample 0 to sample 255, which is the first WT cycle). Then AT asks you to use an alternate import routine ("Treat File as scanable wavetable?" -> Yes). But all has to be 'compressed' into that 64 sines/33 slot model, so don't expect too much.Mace404 wrote:You need Audioterm to save it in the Dune 2 wavetable format.mysticvibes wrote:Is it possible to save a wavetable in serum and load it in dune dune 2? Hi blacktom. Would you consider run the extra mile, and further develop Audioterm for supporting these new formats, and convert back and forth between old and new? You could even do this payware. With the right price, I would be willing to have something like Audioterm to complement all these beautiful wavetable synths we now have at our disposal.blacktomcat666 wrote: I wouldn't recommend Audio-Term as conversion tool. By the way, converting Serum tables to Dune 2 can yield some more problems. Dune 2 has 64 slots (I managed to build and use 128 slots WTs, but this could lead to buffer overflows since it exceeds the specifications listed in the manual). Further Dune2 always fades between the slots. If you have created a table using Serum's spectral morphing capabilties, the result would be a 'beating' sound because of the phase cancellations. The same would happen when you put arbitrary (non - phase aligned) waves next to each other. This can be quite interesting, but is sometimes unwanted and you have no chance to control that in Dune2.
