EnGee: Thanks for the link. Sent one in.
aMUSEd: Don't know about where it might be on a Windows machine, but on a Mac, they're stored here:
Users/YourName/Documents/KORG/ARP ODYSSEY/Presets (or Settings)
Pretty much the least likely place you'd expect VST presets to be stored on a Mac.

Thanks I am on Mac - they should use the default preset location like most plugins do
Unfortunately it's also using a non standard format, unlike the other Korg legacy plugins

Don't have a problem with the Oddity 2 gui - and it does sound good (although not quite as good) and has some nice features the Korg one doesn't but what is bad is it has not been updated even once in the 4 years since release and has some annoying bugs.Cinebient wrote:I could just compare Oddity 2 against the iOS version (which we know now is the same beside the plug-in double the voices) and i like the Korg thing much more.Stefken wrote:Browsed through this thread and saw a lot about installs and stuff (I upgraded without problems) but almost nothing about the sound.
Can anyone compare the new Arp with the Oddity 2 from Gforce software.
To me the Oddity 2 sounds great so doubtfull that this Arp would sound better.
It has more juice and power for me and especially THAT unison (which seems to kill every cpu) makes it for me.
Both could work on their GUI´s.
But Oddity´s GUI was terrible for me.
Now it´s 2018 and i wouldn´t buy any blurry plug-ins anymore.

Folks, so what - those links to installers archives which were received to email, it's always latest versions ? I mean, its are updated automatically ? (For example Korg MS20 Win installer, archive called 132_3, to verify)
There is no option to grab new ones through some korg user account ?

The korg arp odyssey can be extremely heavy with cpu usage on certain sounds.
I need a new computer really.

Your Registered Products page should always have the most up to date installers.c_voltage wrote:Folks, so what - those links to installers archives which were received to email, it's always latest versions ? An update that would really interest me is a rewrite of the ms-20 emulation. Current implementation is somewhat a joke.
Odyssey is a very nice addition of course but we already had a nice one with Oddity 2.
To my knowledge there is no decent emulation of a ms-20.

Two videos that you may find interesting, it seems the iPad version of the ms-20 has newer and much more accurate modelling than the plugin, so I hope that comes soon to the desktop:Stefken wrote:An update that would really interest me is a rewrite of the ms-20 emulation. My big question for Korg is: are the new models going to cost us an upgrade fee?

That's weird since Korg said it's the same engine in the desktop and iPad version didn't they?braj wrote:Two videos that you may find interesting, it seems the iPad version of the ms-20 has newer and much more accurate modelling than the plugin, so I hope that comes soon to the desktop:Stefken wrote:An update that would really interest me is a rewrite of the ms-20 emulation. Regarding the MS-20 emulations, I'd say Diva is pretty decent at that. Then you also have The Drop which you can add over a synth soundsource of your choice for a pretty close MS-20 vibe.

They said the Odyssey was, I don't know if they ever said the MS-20 was.Echoes in the Attic wrote:That's weird since Korg said it's the same engine in the desktop and iPad version didn't they?braj wrote:Two videos that you may find interesting, it seems the iPad version of the ms-20 has newer and much more accurate modelling than the plugin, so I hope that comes soon to the desktop:Stefken wrote:An update that would really interest me is a rewrite of the ms-20 emulation. I also think they are the same (beside the GUI). Maybe placebo?Echoes in the Attic wrote:That's weird since Korg said it's the same engine in the desktop and iPad version didn't they?braj wrote:Two videos that you may find interesting, it seems the iPad version of the ms-20 has newer and much more accurate modelling than the plugin, so I hope that comes soon to the desktop:Stefken wrote:An update that would really interest me is a rewrite of the ms-20 emulation. I think all their iOS apps are ports from their plug-ins just with much better GUI´s and some modern stuff added (XY pads etc).
Now they must port the GUI´s back and optimize the code. Then i would be happy with Korg.

//Clearly, the resonance makes the cutoff modulation more defined. All three devices sound different though the iMS-20 and the MS-20:Legacy are a bit more similar.//
