How so? It seems that the majority of people are happy with it. Is it really a train wreck because a minority of people whine about it not having the features they want or that it doesn't work on 7 year old hardware?

Photoshop aliases too.
And Affinity aliases all the time when you zoom in fast.

Is that your honest takeaway?Ficciones wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:05 pmJesus. The kool aid drinkers sure are eager to pass off any criticism of this train wreck of a product release as nothing more than "doesn't work on older Macs" and some Youtube bozo's possible misapprehensions about aliasing.
...Or do you just like to hear yourself insult people?

given the rapid breakdown of the matrix code our reality is aliasing a little at the edges.

That's quite understandable, given the circumstances.vurt wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:19 pmgiven the rapid breakdown of the matrix code our reality is aliasing a little at the edges.

The architect must have reset the Matrix...Stefken wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:40 pmI just saw a cat walk by. And then the same one walked by again.
...most likely to reduce the aliasing.

Where did you read this?ghettosynth wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2019 1:55 pm I just read that the aliasing is probably being caused by the AVX instructions. The vectoring operations, while faster, aren't as smooth as non-vectored operations. Processing eight bytes at a time leads to stepping in the processing stream that manifests like a discontinuity. It's not hard to understand, basic calculus really.
Based on that I would expect NI to release a non AVX variant soon, bonus, pre-AVX macs are most likely going to increase in value as a consequence. If you haven't upgraded to dual hex-core xeons, I'd do that now before this information becomes more widespread.
