Yep. I love Ralph, but unless what he's got planned includes massive simplification, EZD2 and AD2 have me covered for realistic drumming.GreyLion wrote:Yep, it's been a looong wait. I still am in awe of JamStix, and Ralph is promising news by the end of this month, so I guess we'll see. Much as I love it, I think it needs a major rethink on the GUI. It gives great results, but I find it damn hard to use and tweak. YMMV, of course...

Yes, it`s in S1 proprietary format.GreyLion wrote: So -- the StudioOne Channel Strip collection is NOT usable outside of Studio One itself, right?
Basically Presonus is joggling around with something
that must be free for Pro (flagship) users.
I haven`t seen such an effrontery from a company before.

But it is not free...Omkar wrote:GreyLion wrote: Basically Presonus is joggling around with something

Or do you mean, that it should be free?

Yes I mean should be free, I used "must" because I expect it and I am very straight on this.Novalis wrote:But it is not free...Omkar wrote:GreyLion wrote: Basically Presonus is joggling around with something

Hm, ok...
not sure why you expect it, though.
Do you get all plug-ins by Steinberg if you buy Cubase?
Do you get all plug-ins by Avid if you buy Pro Tools?
Why is PreSonus not allowed to offer additional, optional products?
Where I would agree, though, that they could be cheaper.

Everything for free! Devs work for our appreciation! Their family feasts on our gratitude. Their landlords accept our love instead of gross grubby money!
This could work!

In short, all daws do ship proprietary formats with the flagship since daws exists.
It is another story when sold and shipped as vst standalones like Magix does, no problem.
That`s it in short and yes I expect to get what I have paid for.

And the really valuable IMO info in it has been deleted too, which is a shame, but that appears to be How It's Done.Novalis wrote:To the mods:

You know why. If you were reminded how cheap the stuff is around BF, you would most likely not buy anything from those companies for the next eleven months.dwozzle wrote:And the really valuable IMO info in it has been deleted too, which is a shame, but that appears to be How It's Done.Novalis wrote:To the mods:
