fyi, I sucessfully ordered (with a Buy Now) and installed the SF 8 from ebay, the seller has additional copies. (I have no connection to the seller)ebluemedia wrote: Yes, you're right. The Audio Studio versions can't be upgraded to Pro. However, there's someone on eBay selling Sound Forge 8 CD w/SN's for about $19 delivered.

Hi
A couple of updates over the holiday period.
V Station from Nova Musik : Took the plunge and dived in paying by credit card. They processed the sale minus the shipping automatically in 24 hours...so jump in quickly if you want this (great value even though dated...just has some sounds that I do like).
PSP N20 - I am aggrieved that it cost the amount they charge for the upgrade to this version. However, I count myself lucky as got PSP Nitro on a 'No Brainer Deal' a few years ago so got a good deal in all...and finally x64 bit support hurrah.
Cakewalk Sonar X1 - Purchase Sonar 8.5 now and get a free upgrade to X1. This current deal (not sure if UK only so others may like to check) is on cakewalks website and Et Cetera.
Apparently Roland UK (who own Cakewalk), have over stocks of 8.5 and clearing through to promote Sonar X1.
Et Cetra = £129.99 inc vat for producer bundle or 99.99 for studio bundle and includes free upgrade to X1. Thats a saving of over 50% on a new software release...been wanting to experiment with something different to Cubase and Reaper, can't wait.

Guitar Center has their $100.00 off coupon for items 499.00 or more (which works out to about 20% off). Good until 12/31. Sadly, probably US only, but maybe you can get another retailer to match.
It's not a super biggie, you say, but here's a way to work out a great deal on Ableton Live Suite. You may find this in store, but probably will have to be ordered on their on-line site or over-the-phone.
1) See if you can find a copy of Live Lite from somewhere. It's included in a lot of MIDI keyboards and audio interfaces. It dosen't have to be a recent version either.
2) There's a current deal going on with Ableton on upgrade from Lite to Suite for $499.00 on the Guitar Center Website.
3) Go to this link to generate you the $100.00 off coupon:
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Promos/Clai ... x?pid=2443
4) Then apply coupon to the purchase. That should be it. You are probably going to pay tax, but shipping should be cheap (I sent mine to store for about $6.00)
This should give you the full-blown Suite for what the regular Live costs normally.

And Amazon is also doing the Ultimate bundle for $19.99 +$5 shipping... though the partner on that is Music 123. I bought a copy for me and another as a belated xmas gift for a friend who's getting into home recording, so I could sort of learn it and help with his questions. Either way, an awesome deal.metamorphosis wrote:http://www.amazon.com/Mackie-Tracktion- ... B000VXTPUC

Okay, here's one that kinda freaks me out a little bit. Too good to be true, and all that:
http://www.fleetsound.com/catalog/produ ... ts_id=8262
It's the Novation Xiosynth 49 for $170. They're still going everywhere else for $399.
It's a subtractive synth that is also a USB audio interface, with phantom power for a condenser mic.
Here's the SOS review: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jan07/a ... osynth.htm
The vendor seems to be a legit music store in Ottawa. This deal was added to their web listing in 12/28, and I surmise that stock is extremely limited. Shipping cost isn't available online without creating an account there.
If somebody has the hots for this one and wants to call them, it might be worthwhile, especially if you live in Ontario...

Hmmm, yes I'd think twice about the Nomad stuff, I also bought a reduced price (yet expensive) bundle of which I cannot re-sell. I've come to realise that the Nomad hype is a fair amount of bollocks and their plugs are quite boring sounding. Not very 'tight' or exuding character. I'd go for UAD personallysqigls wrote:caleb82 wrote:Yeah, and then when you find you don't want them anymore, you can't sell them because you bought them at reduced price.hivkorn wrote:every Nomad Factory plugin have a little reduction

Hi,
I'm from proaudio-plugins.com that was just mentionned. The licenses we sell are registered on Nomad Factory websites with your name. So it is the same as if you would buy them directly from Nomad Factory Store.
