I heard from some of you about problems with some
playing technics.

Please READ the included text files !!!

This amp is NOT, turn all up and rock. ;)

I went new ways to simulate the feel of a real amp.
To find the right ballance, is the key.

Please remember, this amp just has ONE tone.

Controls
1. Input
2. Master
3. Boost knob
4. Drive
5. Compressor on/off
6. Response

Please make sure you set up a good input level.
(best use a DI box or a audio card with high-z inputs)

Input, Drive and Response work together !!!

Find a good setting for your guitar and playing.
To turn all full up, is NOT the way to do it. ;)
(Input knob ca. 12 o'clock, Response ca 3-4 o'clock)
Try to make it feel like a real amp, than its right.

The response knob is easy.
Turn off Boost, set Drive to 9 o'clock,
Response at max.
Now play with lots of dynamic.
The more you lower the Response knob,
the more distortion you get.
Dont go too low, but raise instead the Drive.

Rene, could you give some info about what to do with different pickup's; which knob on your ampsim makes up for
the difference between a) single coil or humbucker and b) between neck and bridge position?

BTW, thanks for sharing this ampsim.

I wish it had some less energy output at 300 Hz and below; I tried it yesterday on pre-recorded material (both drums and dry guitar) and I tried it live with my Les Paul guitar (with good DI) and it had very much low energy; my subwoofer was working overtime. When I compared it to another ampsim, your ampsim appeared to be much 'darker' sounding.

What happened to the single amp download? I would have like to compare it to the competition.

I dont know how to describe my WHOOOOOAAAUUUUHHH

I´m not Dimitar,
so I apologize for the little tune I post here,

but I had the feeling I need to put out some sound

When I first touched/listened this tube... omg
it sounds really awesome.

Brings back my love for punky music ;-)

So I just had about 10 minutes with it. But I´m in

so here is my little tune, just to give a little impression what this thing can do.
and it is only one sound of it, I didnt tweak/automate it.
And it is pure, just a DK+ beat with it.

Xmas in my Tube

thx a lot and I´m waiting ...
sound is vibration, vibration is life

Why not...

Compressor off and some post amp shaping.

Yoh,

this sounds more promising than what I heard in the in the AT2 audios. Thumb up. Will check it out tomorrow at home.

Rene, what amp was it modelled after? You wrote it sounds close to "that" $2000 amp?

Ok, this is short piece with drums and bass, old school heavy riffin. Two guitars left and right, with similar settings. If you think it is too bassy, you are right, I have intentionaly left guitar sound intact, no post EQ-ing, and guitars are upfront, so you can hear how plugin works. At the end there is short lead, same settings but with compressor on, no EQ, some delay added. There is no mastering of any kind, because it would also alter sound of guitars.

As this is just to show how amp sim works, I have made everything work around guitars, as good as possible, bass is thin, and low in mix, and drums are bit behind. If someone really wants to hear it how it would sound if guitars are properly EQ-ed to be less bassy and sit in mix better, I can do it, but I think this clip gives you idea anyway.
It would sound much better with proper cab instead of this one in Xmass version, but guess you can hear character anyway  :)

And yes, a song style mix would be really cool, too. Would you please do that Dushan?

BTW, which guitar, pick ups did you use?

Thanks  :)
Guitar is Late 80's Valley Arts with Joe Burdens instead of EMGs... (Where are they when you need them for some serious crunch :x :D ) I think it would sound much better and more focused with 81's but I don't have a guitar with actives here right now.
I'll do quick mix with EQ on guitars later no problem. :)

Being a big EMG fan, let me share this site for EMG and other parts Guitarpartsdepot. I have one EMG 81 that has got to be 20 years old...:)

Wow nice clip dushan! - Would like to post my amp sim endeavors fo you guys to rate:

http://www.rajiv.lutchman.net/mp3/roots.mp3

Soz about the solo i got lazy and ran out of time lol - It was made using 4 tracks: Simuanalog JCM sim panned 100% left, guitar rig 1 for a dirty grunge tube sound in the middle and izotope trash at 40% left for that amazing 5150 "roar" sound (trash's cabinet sims are amazing) - Anyone guess the song? :D - Solo sound is a differently equed version of the above setup.

Ooh and the Bass is a real time pitchshifted down guitar eqed alot lol. Drums are heavily equed and mixed DFH and BFD sampes.

They rythm guitars were all recorded at the same time though (i.e using the same base guitar signal, so no triple tracking)

Tell us what u think! - Ive currently replaced the guitar rig 1 mid track with Dimitars XmasTube and holy crap! awsome!! - Will post more clips to show the diffrence.

Ooh and guess what! - No DI box was used! :D

Cant wait for the final sim!

This is one marvellous xmas present. :D

I had a little time today and played with this amp. What can I say, this has to be the best gain SW amp I tried, ever. OK it's a little muddy but it can be fixed with a little eq, no problem.
I tried it with my Strat and my Ibanez (AR250). It sounded better with Fender, probably because of that muddy feel.

...,anyway thank you Rene.
