Demoing this. Better sounding than it's fairly limited design might lead you to guess, but also higher CPU. Anyone else seeing that? Other reactions?MillerSam wrote:Carbon Electra Synthesizer now 40% off 46.66 Euro

I think that it has a good design for a first synth and has a good quality sound. I demoed then deleted it as it doesn't go anywhere new for me, but if you are looking to add a first pay-ware synth it is a good choice.dwozzle wrote:Demoing this. It's fun to use but a bit of pain to program on the small screen, you need a stylus with some controls but SB apps have a zoom function, bit fiddly though. Things have gotten better with integration since Apple added audio over lightning, i use Studiomux so it's like having a little outboard fx unit.Uncle E wrote:Is that as fun as I'm imagining? Are you able to integrate it into your DAW workflow?musikmachine wrote:Turnado is great bit it's a pretty deep and complex app,i've got it on iOS so didn't really think about it but it is one of the best multi-fx on iOS.

Plus working with it, switching to another track with a different synth, than back to CE crashes Studio One. First it draws only parts of the UI, then when I double click the CE channel again to try to get it to refresh, Studio One crashes hard, gone.
I'm done.

This reminds a lot of the imperfect Steinway

for a heck of a lot less!
Opinions are welcome.
When does the sale end?

I wasn't looking for yet another piano library (actually, was in search for solo Cellos). But after listening to My Piano demos, I'm attracted to the warm, heartful sound. I'd definitely get one, if there aren't already too many piano patches in my drive... hmm.
They say they sampled Upright, interesting you compare it to Steinway from Imperfect Samples.
To my ears, they may not be necessarily in the same domain, and the Steinway sounds more "raw".
The choice seems very subjective, and really a matter of application.
Meanwhile, while I was browsing webs, found someone mentioning Soft Piano from Spitfire Lab.
Currently up for charity (£2 donation), it would not hurt to try. (there seems no demo tracks)

I haven't checked, but if this was an affiliate link, those are not allowed. Just like graphics, if you start making exceptions, it spins out of control very quickly.
A year or so ago, we had some company that was pushing people to 'spread the word' and rewarding them for posting affiliate links, and we had dozens of the damn things all over KVR in the space of a day or so.
