I was lucky enough to be lurking around yesterday and download this sim. I registered yesterday to say thanks and such, but I had family visiting and things were hectic so I never got around to it.
But uh, it sounds really great. Yeah, it IS a little darker and deeper than I would like, but it is totally usable. I used it as an insert on Cubase, and chained it with various effects, EQ's, and compressors and it worked really well with all of them. I do own Guitar Rig 2, and I can say that, as far as a chunky high gain tube sound goes, I like this sim a little better than GR2. I'm definately interested in hearing the final product now, and I'll be watching this thread with anticipation.
And thanks!

Ok, here it is, the same song as before, but with EQ and some master compressionfritzman wrote:And yes, a song style mix would be really cool, too. Would you please do that Dushan?
BTW, which guitar, pick ups did you use?

Did it in a hurry, and noticed some mistakes after mixing, but anyway, now there are both versions with/without EQ to compare

Soz about the solo i got lazy and ran out of time lol - It was made using 4 tracks: Simuanalog JCM sim panned 100% left, guitar rig 1 for a dirty grunge tube sound in the middle and izotope trash at 40% left for that amazing 5150 "roar" sound (trash's cabinet sims are amazing) - Anyone guess the song?- Solo sound is a differently equed version of the above setup.
Ooh and the Bass is a real time pitchshifted down guitar eqed alot lol. Drums are heavily equed and mixed DFH and BFD sampes.
They rythm guitars were all recorded at the same time though (i.e using the same base guitar signal, so no triple tracking)
Tell us what u think! - Ive currently replaced the guitar rig 1 mid track with Dimitars XmasTube and holy crap! awsome!! - Will post more clips to show the diffrence.
Ooh and guess what! - No DI box was used!
Cant wait for the final sim!

Nice, maybe lacking some distortion so it comes out somewhat "spoongy" at moments, but works for intro riffdimitar wrote:merry xmas & happy holidays!

I am not sure, is this clip with replaced guitar rig with midiworks plugin in middle or original, with guitar rig? (headbanging while typingWow nice clip dushan! - Would like to post my amp sim endeavors fo you guys to rate:

I still think that jcm 900 from guitar suite is the best existing Marshall simulation in software

Total bummer!
I was out of town for Christmas and didn't catch this!
Please consider extending the gift period a couple of extra days! I'd really like to get my hands on this sim...

Hey not bad.
This sim managed to fulfill my desire to play solo with the neck pickup without turning into a flute.
Never before possible with a plug!
Very Cool
I present:
DarkVintage
Now wrap it up, so we can see the rest of it!
PS all guitars played with XmasTube followed by different EQ settings.

Thanks! - Yeah that was with guitar rig 1 in the middle. I am going to post a version with the midiworks xmas tube soon - But lemme tell you it adds one hell or a ROAR that was just missing beforeVervil wrote:Nice, maybe lacking some distortion so it comes out somewhat "spoongy" at moments, but works for intro riffdimitar wrote:merry xmas & happy holidays!

)I really like guitars, good results for software, off (guitar) topic, open hat sounds strange and too loud btw.

Sounds really marshall-ish to me...
I have played Ibanez Jam777 and RG's for some time, Dimitar has one? It sounded something like this in Marshall. 75's box maybe? Sounds really good, whatever amp it is.
