Hi all,
Broke down and bought the VST wrapper for my Pro Tools Set up. I'm certain this question shows up here all the time but my attempts at a keyword search to answer it in the forum have failed...
Can anyone please post a link to recommended free effects plugins?

there are a lot of links to free pluggins here (perhaps the largest collection of links)...

However you ask for free pluggins but didn't say what kind of pluggins. A little clarification might bring you some more focused and precise responses...also note that there are reviews on many pluggins and a search for each forum...that way if you dont want to wait for responses (like me) then you might your questions answered... BTW as you state you're a newbie let me say welcome to the wonderful world of recording, song writing, inspiration and K-v-R...
