- Added support for Mousewheel in plugins
- fixed bugs (some plugins gave only left-channel
sound or no sound at all or crashed randomly..
fixed now).
- Various minor things, such as making sure the
first keygens won't work anymore (damn... these
guys are fast! )

A big Thanks! for everyone who has mailed me reports
or given support (esp. Michael Kleps, Chris Randall,
pHz). Your help is mucho appreciated!

If you still find plugins that don't work properly,
please send me an email. I might be able to solve it!

Cheers,

Bram Bos

I'm playin with the demo right now.
maybe I'm missing the point but,
how do you make a new segment?
Is copying the 1st segment the only way?

There's also "Add new segment" (ctrl-k) from the
Segment menu.

I can't find a way to play sounds/vSti's using my MIDI keyboard... Entering notes with mouse clicks works ok for creation of quick and simple drum beats, but is not exactly the most intuitive nor musical way to create musical phrases... Am I missing something here?
Kind Regards,

It is for someone who can't play piano even
at gunpoint :hihi:

Seriously though, you're right and midi i/o is on
the to-do list for major features that will be
added in the [near] future. I just wanted to release
1.0 first because getting MIDI I/O smooth will
probably take some months and (believe it or not)
developing this version has already taken me 10
months.

Anyway.. it'll definitely be in there at some point,
because I know a lot of people rely on midi-
controllers etc.

it's a very good news!
i'm a music teacher, and with midi in/out, TUNAFISH will be the perfect midi host for learning music with computer :)

they made keygens? it is incredible, given the price and how fast they were

I was actually honored that they took the trouble
of working all night in order to release a keygen
within a day from launch :D

There's no way of avoiding software to be warezed
anyway so I'd say it's better to laugh about it
and shrug.

Yes .... it's a strange sort of back handed complement to your status as a softsynth pioneer.
Whether you like it or not you are a legend....even in
warez circles.......

AAAAHHHHHH!!! Very annoying bug...When switching back and forth between channels, the VST instruments have to be reloaded!!!!

EDIT:
You can work around it
until I release update 1.2: change channels
by clicking on the channel-part below the name-label.
Clicking on the label triggers the bug, clicking
on any part of the channel-strip below it should
work fine.

And since we are on VSTs..I have a FR, along with the pull down menu, it would be nice to switch presets with the typical up/down buttons found in most VST wrappers.
Also, will there be automation in the future? If so...MAKE IT SIMPLE PLEASE!!!!!!! A simple "Learn" button will suffice. Press "Learn", move the knob you want to assign, move the CC...done.
Also, with the VST fx, FR: drag and drop ala Chainer to quickly rearrange the effect chain.
In fact, not to completely rearrange the structure of Tuna, but how it is now, when you press the VST button to call up fx, it would be cool ( and a bit easier) if it was the way to load VSTs in general (fx and/or instruments) with the capability to drag and drop in any order. This way, one can do synth layering as well. Of course, the maximum number of 3 plugs per channel would have to be bumped up.

I had made a FR earlier about BPM changes. A better idea than the method i requested earlier is to simply allow any BPM settings to be saved with a segment. So if Segment one has a BPM of 120 and segment two has a BPM of 165, they each get saved with the respective segment.

Pharaoh.. thanks for letting me know about the bug
(it's fixed now in the upcoming 1.2 release) and
the feature ideas. I'll seriously give them some
thought.

MIDI is in the works now. Technically the MIDI-IN
works, but it still needs to be seamlessly
integrated into the UI which is the bulk of the
work. Also the MIDI-learn mechanism which remembers
your settings for specific plugins is yet to be
implemented.

If anyone has ideas about what midi functionality
would be specifically useful for educational purposes
please let me know. I like that line of thought!

Thanks guys!

cheers,

Bram
