everybody seems to agree he was the nicest person as well...

i was surfing to the voivodfan forum to see the latest news on the new album and i got the announcement of his death instead, what a shock

His illness was well known here in Mtl for a long time now - he hung on for years, though. Didn't really ever get to know him but he was one of the most respected musicians and artists (he did a lot of painting and sculpture too - I believe the giant metal pterodactyl thing at the entrance to Foufounes Electriques was his work) in this city, and not just by metal fans.
