I'm in serious trouble .
Please post *anything* that comes to your mind
even if it seems somewhat irrelevant.
It may be helpfull

I was using Garritan Personal Orchestra throuth the
Kontakt 2.02 sampler and I was very pleased with the
results until I made a fatal ...mistake:

I bought a midi keyboard ( m-audio 49es)
and now kontakt reports that GPO is not registered and
I should open GPO VST once more.
I did it BUT KONTAKT STILL REPORTS THAT IS UNREGISTERED
AND I CANNOT USE IT THROUTH KONTAKT WHILE I CAN
USE IT FROM GPO'S KONTAKT PLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I made a clean install of GPO. REGISTERED.NOTHING.
I made a clean install of kontakt.
"Configuration changed and blah blah blah".
REGISTERED. NOTHING.

I e-mailed NI but they haven't replied yet..
On their forums we found no solution.

Can you think of something?

i know: I can use kontakt player but player is no
much for the sampler..

There is only one solution: format.

So what happens if you leave the keyboard unplugged, and uninstall everything related to that? Is there a restart point XT can revert back to? Does M-audio maybe have newer drivers?

And yes, contact support of all parties. Again. They should be helpfull in sorting you out.

Well, it turns out that the midi keyb isn't the cause
of the problem but the problem still exists.

WARNING SOS WARNING
The possible cause of the problem was the installation
of the main motherboard drivers after the installation
of the software...
You see the m-audio 49es is "XP SP1 class compliant"
and doesn't install drivers.
Also the manual insists that the use of a midi keyb
doesn't need a new code from the companies...

I hope I didn't scare off many NI and m-audio possible clients.
Kontakt is the best! GPO is superb! And I prefer to format than leave Kontakt. And M-Audio's
49es midi keyb is so good and so chip and easy to
install that deserves to be at every home.

BUT I STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM...

I removed matherboard's drivers.It didn't solved anything.
I got back to windows point of ...something but
still didn't solve anything.
This thing is stuborn!

The closest thing to a solution I have is
a clean start (format...)
Kontakt has a nice library but a cure
(preferably simple) if exists is better.
GPO Player is... well, working, but A LOT OF
WORK needed.Let alone that I want to continue working with kontakt.

at least I hope that anyone that reads this message
is informed about the possible problem.
