It is or was bundled with Cubase and I remember using it on my Mac - I got it with a Cubase demo. I'm looking for the PC version and have downloaded Cubase demos from ftp.steinberg.de but none seem to have Scopion... :(

Can anyone tell me how to find it please? It's still my fave simple oscilloscope...

Thanks in advance.

Scorpion is an Synapse (formerly Sonic Syndicate) product. Find information here:

I think he really means "Scopion." I've never heard of it, but he also said oscilloscope, so the name fits.

Yes, just to clarify, I mean Scopion not Scorpion :)

Thanks!

My Distortion is Analogue...

OK, don't rub it in ;-) Is it me though or is that not a thing of beauty?

Just to clarify (no. 2): (just realised the ambiguity of that sentence)

I mean, that is a thing of beauty! Don't you reckon?

Not Steinberg's Osci, but here's a better one:

Yep, the smex one is better and I wouldn't bother with Scopion anyway because it works only in Cubase (and probably Wavelab). This plug-in is still on the SX CD but it's not installed by default if I remember well and that's why it's not included in the demo version anywmore (Scopion was bundled with VST 4 I think).

There's a free one HERE at the bottom of the page that you might like to try.

Its useful if you need to see both left and right channels of a stereo signal at the same time.

Don't like the Smex one... and at least on Mac, Scopion worked fine in Logic. Thanks for the tips! I will try finding a Cubase 4 demo - must have one on an old magazine CD somewhere, and will take another look at the ftp site ;-)
