Its really strange but somehow i have nevr done this before, and the other day when i had to do it, i realized that i actually dont know how...

CD audio is in cdda format right? which is nothing but the wav file in audio cd form... all my audio cd's i normally rip to mp3... zillions of software to do that.. but what if i just want to copy the original wav file itself without any compression...

any hints :)

Your DAW should do it. Open the track and export it as a wave

Or you could use Exact Audio Copy http://www.exactaudiocopy.org/
instructions for extracting to wave.

Don't you mean "import..." ?
He's trying to get the tracks off of the CD!
He'd have to import them first!

What sequencer or editor are ya using josevin?

Nuendo/Cubase/Wavelab - just use the import from Audio CD menu option etc.

After your import, do what ya need to, processing etc... or if ya just want a plain .wav then export from ya sequencer/editor.

EAC is known to offer very high quality (error correction ect.) and it's free. Certainly better than the import function in Cubase/Nuendo etc. I believe.
Ndct.

I started to do this zillions years ago with WINDAC32. Nowadays I use cdex which also can write as WAV: http://cdexos.sourceforge.net

3rd vote for EAC.

Cd ex is great and very simple: http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/

EAC is king of quality but if you got a decent drive and the CD looks fine it probably won't make a difference what program you use...

Another vote for EAC.
